Free Dining Announcement by April 12

It's being reported elsewhere that the CM's are now able to talk about it. Visa Card holders can book on 4/9. It's been confimed by multiple people calling in.

I've called twice this morning and both CM's that I talked to had no clue what I was talking about. I wish this would hurry up and start I can't stand the waiting anymorepopcorn:: !

Last year I did it all on line to my visa card. I booked with the ressie hotline for WDW, paid the deposit, then waited to put the rest of it on my disney visa for 6 months no interest just so I didnt have to pay with one lump sum before we left. That card is awesome.

Well that sucks if that is the case! We already booked 8/24-8/30
So- we'll miss the 5 night cut off during the promotion period. We already booked airfare so we can't change...right??

Also- if you have the Disney Visa- do you call Disney to book then or the Visa?

I believe that you are correct. I would run the numbers with and without free dining. It might make sense to pay the flight change fee (assuming it's not refundable) and get the free dining. It can save a bunch.

What I have been reading is that you have to make two reservations. So the first reservation would be 8/24 for two nights and no free dining. The second reservation would begin on 8/26 with free dining. When you check in the first time just tell the cm that you have the second reservation and most likely they won't make you change rooms.

OH! You are right- I was WRONG! We are staying till the 31st- leaving on the 31st!! So that IS 5 nights!!!!!!!! WOO HOO!!!!!!!!!!
So- since my ressies are allready booked I will need to call the WDW line - and give my VISA in order to book MONDAY???

We have two Chase cards and it seems our account info, etc. is triggered by the non-Disney account; so, I'm not sure I'll be notified by e-mail. Am I out of luck? Is there a phone number to call?

Another DISer posted the info she was given from a very helpful Chase rep. The rep said in case you don't get the e-mail, but you are a Chase/Disney cardholder, you may call 407-939-1286 beginning Monday with code: ZHQ.

HTH!

Yes. Since you are staying 5 days, you will need to change to 2 reservations as buzz2400 stated.

i just got our disney card do you have to put the vacation on the card to get the free dining plan or is there a code or something im also using a travel agent does that make a diffrance

If you want to book on 4/9 (which is rumored for Disney Visa) you would have to put it on your card (0% interest for 6 months) or you will have to wait till it opens to the public. My TA called me yesterday and asked if I want to book with my visa..... ahhhhhhhh Yaaaaaaaaa :rotfl: I would call your TA now and give her your info that way she can get it in the system the minute it's open.

I also talked to Chase today....talked to two very polite women....but I was told by both that the whole trip had to be paid for on your Disney Visa. Does that sound right to you?

Updating the FAQ based on this...

To receive the early booking window, you would only have to put the deposit on the Disney Visa ($200.00) My TA called me yesterday and said "When the offer is open, do you want me to book it for you ?" Ahhhhhhh yaaaaaa :rotfl:

Is this a WDW # or a CHase #??
We already have a ressie booked through WDW- so would we need to call them to cancel switch or the above #?

Update to my previous post, I just got off the phone to my TA and she said you would only have to put the deposit ($200) on the Disney Visa to receive the early booking. My TA only books Disney trips so I trust her to know her stuff.

She also stated that she is pretty sure there is a 3 night min.

No, it's not on the website yet. It's little more than a rumor -- just word-of-mouth, based on what some CMs have told some guests.

I also have a trip booked. My TA is going to book a new ressie first then cancel the other. At which time I will get my deposit back. I wouldn't chance cancelling the first THEN re-booking

The number above is WDW number.. I just tried it.;)

I think you would need to call WDW to change it...at least that's what I'm planning on doing Monday morning.
