Free Dining Announcement by April 12

My brand new Disney Visa just arrived in the mail. Now I'm ready to book my trip the moment they announce free dining.

How will we know if Disney Travel Company has offered free dinning will they put it on WDW web sight. My DH and I will be there in Sept my trip has been booked since Jan, will my DH and I still be able to get the free dinning.

My TA just called me and asked if I want her to rebook our trip "when" the Disney Visa offer comes out YESSSSS...

Even though they put this up as an error they still should give it to you. it wasn't your fault it was theirs and they should take that into consideration.

Kind of like when a dept. store marks something wrong you still get for the price that was marked.

If it were California this is the law, and it would clearly state that they would have to give it to you, esp. in LA County.

I swearI just read an offer - like last week somewhere -- were Disney was offering the free dining again in the fall. Something like August thru at least September. I wish I could remember where I read it. If I think of it &/or can find it, I'll PM you. But I'd think if the offer is out there, and you call and inquire about it, they'll hook you up. My epxerience is that Disney doesn't automatically adjust existing reservations to reflect a promotion. But if you book through other outlets, they do.

I've been wondering the same thing. I'd like to book my package on line, so will I need a code or will it just automatically show the discount when I choose the package that includes dining? Basically, how hard will we have to look on line to find the free dining page?

I took my kids for the free dining deal last year and had the most amazing time. I'm so disappointed to see that it *may* not start until Aug 26, though. My kids start school on the 29th. Do you think it is possible to book a Disney hotel from the Aug 21st thru the 28th and get the free dining on the last two days? Or, do you think because it needs to be 2 'separate' reservations, I wouldn't qualify because the second would only be two nights (assuming there is a "3-night minimum"?

A second question, if any one knows: my friend is a travel agent (on the side) and expressed interest in going with us if we go. Do you think that she, as a travel agent, would get an additional discount on the special dining deal?

You would need to book two res' to do that. (And keep in mind you would be having to buy tickets with the MYW/Dining package. And if there was a three night minimum, that would have to be met with the package res. (It would not count towards your split stay.)
With free dining, I would be very surprised she would get an additional discount, TA or not.
