Buckled In--Holding On--Ready for the Ride!!!:goodvibes

We are looking at a trip in November with dates of either 11/8-11/14 or 11/15-11/21. Which week do we have the best shot at FD being offered?

Thanks!

this waiting, hoping, wishing is driving me nuts. Well, we're going no matter what and will consider FD a bonus. I'll book our flights and sit tight for everything else.

I'm not worried. How many years now has FD survived? It was supposed to die out years ago. I can taste the pretzel bread at Le Cellier right now!

Here is my latest bit of info:
I have a friend that I go to church with that is a Disney Travel Agent (I wanted to talk to her yesterday but she was out of town). I just sent her a FB message asking if she had any insight on free dining since we are hoping to book for September. I am quoting what she told me:

"We know that Free dining is coming for September and rumor has it that it will be available next Monday. I am sure that is why my schedule includes OT for next week :)"

I then ask her if she knows anything about whether Disney Visa holders will get advanced notice.

"We normally get that information the morning that they offer the advanced booking and sometime we hear it from our customers before we hear it from our department leads. LOL"

Not sure if this is anything more than what Black has shared but the overtime comment is another great sign that Black is spot on again!!! :thumbsup2

We'll be celebrating my husband's birthday and our 15th anniversary when we go. Impatiently waiting for FD, but working on my surveys to raise some extra money for food! :). I owe my hubby a special B-day dinner at Liberty Tree.

That does sound like great news! The CM I called today referenced OT as well as being an indicator and that she did have OT for this week. Here's hoping!

If fd is available to Disney visa customers early, does the disney card need to be used or can I use another card to pay $200 security deposit?

My daughter (19) and I are going September 11th. We have already booked a package at POP with dining and free MM. Now I am hearing that free dining might be offered. Am I correct that we would need to pay an upgrade to get the 1TS, 1QS and one snack dining instead of the Quick service dining? Would it be cheaper for me to do a moderate and get the regular dining free? What would be my best course of action at this time until free dining is offered? Is there a way for me to determine the different costs for different scenarios before the announcement?

Thanks
Stacie

We are a family of 5 (2 adults, 6 year old, 3 year old and 15 months at time of trip) and it's still a little over $300 cheaper for us to stay in a value and upgrade to the regular dining plan.

:cool1: WHOOHOO.. now what time do I need to call.. ?? :rotfl2: Im central time zone?

I'm not all that optimistic of my chances for free dining at the end of August. I'll be checking in on Aug. 27, it sounds as though it won't be available (if at all in August) until the 28th or 29th? It probably won't be worth it to do a split stay with the ticket/package requirements.

You can check the prices by running through the website as if you were booking a trip. For 2 people, it may be less expensive to keep the room at Pop and upgrade your dining . . . but I am not sure. The more people in your party, the more significant the discount is with FD. To get "Free Dining", you have to pay the rack rate for your room and park tickets, so just run it through by following the motions to book each as a package with room and tickets. That will be your "free dining" package price :) Just remember to add in the upgrade cost to your Pop package as you will have to pay the upgrade if you want to keep the regular dining plan . . .I don't know the exact cost, but it is approximately $20 per person, per night I believe.
