We will be there November 6-12 and as much as I am hoping for FD, I feel like I will be seriously disappointed because I heard that week was excluded last year. Should I throw in the towel? Is that week always excluded from FD?

This week historically has been excluded - Jersey week and food and wine marathon. I have always wanted to go this week because our schools are closed 2 1/2 days but there are never any discounts. Have a fun trip !!

That is Jersey Week and the Wine and Dine Half during your dates (as it was last year). It really depends on how many rooms Disney needs to fill and those events fill rooms. If I had to make an educated guess, I would say that it probably won't be included, but bookings could be down and it might get included.

Just wanted to say I love your avatar. Im from PA but my DH was born just outside of Boston. We are surprising our kids with a trip to Boston Thursday and a Red Sox game Friday night. We'll be taking them to batting practice, the Aquarium, Plymouth Plantation, The Mayflower and The Lobster Hut..yum!! A lot to do in a weekend but I'm good with that since we're not doing Disney again until next year.

Veterans Day is Tuesday, November 11th; people might want to do a 4 day weekend trip and only have to miss one day (Monday) of work/school which could increase the bookings without FD.

have fun, staying for the Boston Marathon on Monday?

Idk if this means anything but the CM I spoke to this morning when I can't to inquire about free dining said to check back soon because new promotions come out all the time..

Hoping to book our trip to POR for November 15-22 and really hoping for FD, but getting nervous after reading that maybe POR will not be included?? I'm sure we will go no matter what, but it will save our party of 6 almost $2000! So if we book and POR isn't included, am I understanding right we could move our reservations to a different resort?? Not that I want to, I finally made a decision after much stressing...our first trip...I dunno if I can go thru that again. So when are they thinking they will announce it? I did get a Disney visa to, so hope that helps!

POR is a big resort it would likely be included in FD. The rooms that are in short supply are the ones that sleep 5.

If standard rooms sell out you might need to book a different room type that would cost more so run the #'s to see what the savings would be. My family was lucky enough to get an FP PIN that we used for our October 2013 trip at FQ. Even though I called the first day the PINS came out, months before the Fall GP FD promo came out, there were no standard view rooms available. We had to book Garden View at ~ $80 more for the week but still a HUGE savings
with the FD.

When everyone was calling in today, were they checking on the dates FD was being offered and a release date, or were they checking to see if it was ready to book FD today?

Right about now is when folks start panicking. I've already seen a couple of facebook comments saying things like "maybe they've done away with free dining".

Free dining certainly brings out the many stages of emotion....excitement, nervousness, panic, fear, dread, anger, and eventually relief.

Yes - was it the September FD last year when everyone went nuts on the boards because they didn't offer it the day that was predicted? There was some cray cray on the boards that day. I was thinking it was about a year ago.

It was the fall offer. Dark, dark day here on the boards. Had a couple good cries that day, and I already had FD.

Now that's funny! Maybe we should emulate Kübler-Ross's model, and develop the 5 stages of Disney Free Dining Uncertainties......maybe that's our million dollar idea, and then it really CAN be free dining for everyone!! :)

hang tight my friends....something is brewing!!!

I remember that. I didn't get FD for my 1st week of December trip:sick: but we had a great time anyway. You got a FD pin code as I recall. Do you remember when you got the free pin offer? Was it spring or early summer?

They started going out in early April. I called and got mine at the end of May. Never did get the email or postcard.

What are the chances this year at getting free dining Nov 11-15 this year. We went this same time last year and they offered it during that time frame - hoping for the same this year. Either way, were going...

No need to panic yet, FD did not come out until May 6/9 last year.
Easy for me to say, I don't have a trip planned this year.
