Free Dining 2014 Discussion ~ Part 3

I just woke up here, Came to Dis to see if people are getting what they wanted, I see some are - CONGRATULATIONS, and some aren't - I'm sorry to hear that!

I am one on the ones who booked through the link given by someone last night, I think it was the Canadian offer.
I figure I am in Australia, if I book through the CA site it is for Canadian residents, but if I book through the USA site it is for Americans.
We don't have our own Australian site, Do you think I am OK, Or should I ring and switch to the USA deal? My dates and hotel are still available online.
HELP!!!
 
Quick question-for those who were able to book and who have kids under 10-did your email say anything about child dining plan? My *email* just says "Disney Regular Dining Plan" but *mde* breaks it down into "2014 Table service meals-Adult" and "2014 table service meals-child". My kids are listed as 10 and 14, so they should technically be "adults" by Disney standards. Just curious why it's worded this way. (yes, I know it could be a glitch. :) )

i dont understand how u guys r on hold for 2,3 hours i keep getting thru withen 3 minutes....
 

I want to know this too. I just took a good look at my ressie and it says the same thing as yours. I have an almost 14 yr old and almost 10 yr old. (booked as 14 and 10). They're going to be really disappointed if they're not on the adult DP.

on last year's free dining trip and DD was 29!!!! My package showed 3 adults so no worries. They didn't make her order off the kids menu (even though she's only 4'11"!!!)

Someone from the USA booked through the "Canadian" link and then called in direct to a CM to confirm that it was fine....and they were told it was so I'm sure you're fine too!

We haven't been to Disney since the fall of 2010 when I was pregnant with our third and final child. We decided he is finally ready to go so I've been stalking these boards for a few weeks and can't thank you all enough for the great information. Thanks, first of all, to Black and Smitch for the huge heads-up and very accurate info.

I had no luck trying to ge through online or via phone this morning and saw the reservation in my cart disappear after several error messages. Thanks so much to TNDisneyNut for the tip on calling if we ran out of luck online! And thanks to kwiig for the magic phone number! Your two tips brought me some pixie dust today:cool1:. Got through on the number first try after hours of busy signals, and then the CM was able to get us 5 of the 6 nights we wanted in November at AOA. I was trying for a Lion King suite but got a Cars instead and am excited to see it. We are going to try to add a night on either end once the dust settles to get back to 6 nights. Upgraded to DDP and couldn't be happier to have the toughest part of the planning done.

My only regret is that I got disconnected when the CM was transferring me to the survey and she did such a great job...I'd love to give her a great report. Any way to go back and do that? Her name was Jazz:thumbsup2.

I was able to book CBR this morning for 11-9 through 11-16. My mil was going to book tonight. It looks like it is sold out now. Do you think if we keep checking the next few weeks something will open up for her or should I look into switching to a value so we will both have rooms together? The odds are something will open up at CBR for that week, right?
 
Does anyone know if you are allowed to do balance transfers from one reservation to another? (The one you are canceling to the new one)
 
Thinking about this more.... if POR was left out of the offer due to the pre-booking then many panic and move to CSR (leaving very limited space there for GP), is it possible Disney might open POR later for FD? It seems like there are hardly any rooms to even offer to the GP with all these resorts / rooms not being available. Unless of course that is what they are going for.

My thoughts exactly.

I hope it does for you. Although, I've heard others say that if someone cancels a FD room, it doesn't get put back into the FD pool but just reverts back to a "normal" room. I honestly don't know what the truth is.

Two years ago, I was able to book CSR quite a few weeks after release, so I'm pretty shocked to see it's sold out for my dates already. :confused3

Are all PINs typically sent out in one mass mailing over the course of a few days/weeks or do they trickle out over the course of many months? ie. Could we possibly get a PIN but not until later in the year such as Sept.? Or if we haven't/don't receive one fairly quickly then we know we're not getting one?

The Pins typically come out in waves. The first wave was just released today. Most likely they will have another wave at a later date.

A few tries...busy busy busy then i get through, say Agent and am on hold for 10 or 15 minutes then here I am :)

Ok, im confused! (Forgive me if this has been asked and answered, havent had time to read all posts yet). BUT, my TA said we couldnt get beach club with the FD offer---had to get boardwalk inn instead. I really want to be at beach or yacht club for the pool. What the ???

Where do you see it being specific at all in MDE? Mine just says MYW Pkg + Dining, it doesnt break anything down.:confused3
