Even an old (I am 28 lol) grouch like me thanks you so much! Without you I wouldnt know when GP FD, MNSSHP, or anything else was coming out. I wouldnt have my BOG, or CRT ADRS because I wouldnt have known what dates to go after.

My crankiness comes from me, and being worried I wont be able to book, lol seriously irrational. The last couple years I have booked in Sept and still got FD. I did learn something new, never knew GP and DV were separate...

Anyways, thank you, and dont let people chase you off, because your amazing!

The only last couple questions I have:

A. If I plan to change resorts from what I have now, but I have reservations depending on my DDP such as HDD and CRT, can I still book online and call later to cancel my current? If so will I lose my reservations?

B. I have heard lots of different answers but does GP FD come out online at 12am or 6am?

I am sure these have been answered in the thread somewhere but I have searched and can't keep up! But it is good to hear people getting their free dining! Gives me hope for next week!

For GP: Phone lines open at 7am. Online goes live anywhere between 12am and 6am, there is never a specific time but by 6am for sure.

Is there any chance that ASMo will be included in the GP offer? Or does that normally not change from DV to GP? I'm thinking about not sleeping Tuesday night, lol. Especially with as quick as some of the offers sold out today.

I have a party of 6. Two adults & 4 kids... none of which are really old enough to stay alone. We stayed in AOA Nemo Suite our last visit. Would it be cheaper with FD to stay at POP & get 2 rooms? I guess we would have to split up. What are our other options with FD or are there any?

They've been unavailable for a while now. Maybe there's a convention there or something, but it's only that week.

I didn't even know that FD existed until I started following these trip planning boards.

This will be our first trip to WDW, with a cruise, too! I have been planning and paying for this trip little by little for almost a year already!

Because of this thread and Joe, I got FD for my family of 4, my parents, and another couple traveling with us at POP 9/9-9/13.

We are sticking with QS because I don't plan on any TS for this trip.

Knowing that my kids can have a churro or a pretzel or a corn dog every day without watching my wallet will be awesome!!!

I'm a DL veteran and we drive there and I pack lunches, etc so I am SO SO happy to have FD!!

My understanding is that having a reservation still won't guarantee your room is available for FD - they have a virtual "bucket" of FD rooms and when you go to get FD, they pull from that bucket. If it's empty, then it's not available, even if you already have a room reserved.

To add to that, if they see a bunch of rooms already booked without them having to give FD, then they just make the FD bucket smaller, thus fewer rooms available.

If you need that room, no matter what (for whatever reason) and want to make sure you have that room, then reserve. If you could deal with some other room, etc., then not reserving and waiting for the release is the better plan.

Thank you!!! That made the whole FD thing make a whole lot more sense (Visa cardholders were saying that CBR sold out for many dates but all the dates I played with CBR was still available, so I was confused about how that worked). I'll go ahead and risk it and wait - I wanted the room so I could book a specific dining reservation - because honestly without free dining this trip may not be doable. Thanks for the reply.
