Hi! I know this is a bit far in advance, but I am so excited and hope to reserve a hotel room early. I have been to DL a few times but I have never been to the parks to see the Christmas decorations and I have always wanted to go. This year my husband said we could take a quick few days to go down and see it and I am so excited. My question is which month is better to visit for less crowds and still see the decorations? The first weekend in December looks to be Candlelight processional, so I assume that is very busy? And I am thinking Thanksgiving weekend before and after is probably busy as well? Is there no really good time to go and it's just always busy? Thank you so much for your help!

Are you only looking at the weekends? November 27-29 (the days right after Thanksgiving) vs December 4-6 (Candlelight Processional)?

My opinion is CP is less crowded than the days following Thanksgiving. However, I think Nov 20-22 will probably be less crowded than the CP weekend.

Thank you. I think it will have to include a weekend so we have less time off work, but I might be able to get a few days off mid week if I put it in now so I am not against doing something in the middle. I just want to see the decorations but also be able to ride rides without too much of a crowd. Thank you for your suggestion, I appreciate your help.

Crowds... That’s just one of the terms and conditions of visiting a Disney park. If you do have to go… try going weekdays before day and date Christmas…
