>> FREE DINING 2011 WATCH - Read Post # 1 BEFORE Posting

I finally got a pin in the snail mail yesterday, but I had already called and booked March 1st.
Give reservations a call, a cast member should let you use it, if your dates match the PIN. There shouldn't be a time limit on when you can use it, unless you only have a few days before your vacation starts. But other than that, all you have to do is call and tell them you want to apply your PIN that you just received. Have a Magical Day and good luck. :thumbsup2

:sad1: I think that because I am already booked for July that Disney figures they don't need to offer me free dining :confused3

I don't feel right calling up to just ask if I have the free dining PIN since the CMs work on commission and half of the disboards have called asking already.

So I finally got through to my AAA travel agent...she said she was FLOODED with calls all day about the PIN code for free dinning....happy to say it applied to our reservation for July 1st - 7th (we are staying at AKL) and we are saving over...wait for it....$400 off our original price....with the exact same vacation! SO happy about this.....makes my family happy too....there are 2 other rooms of people on our reservation and it applied to them too! WOO HOO!
Disney here we come! In 114 days!::yay:

Ok .. there have been a number of threads posting non-public codes for a series of different PIN offers floating around the DIS.

I must take this time to remind everyone of the DIS Posting Guidelines rule on NON Public Codes, entry # 11:

The offending threads have been removed. There were too many posts to find with the non-public codes to salvage the threads.

But a STRONG reminder ..

Booking vacations on PIN codes that you haven't been assigned thru Disney's offers, could result in your vacation reverting to full price -- perhaps at a very inopportune time and could really impact your travel plans down the road.

And... The DIS takes this very seriously. Further posts with non-public codes will be deleted without notice and infractions may be handed out when applicable.

Thanks,

Knox
Mr. Moderator,

Excuse me for posting this, but I don't think anyone, well I'm not, is asking for codes and I didn't know that Disney or DISboards were located in Canada. All I'm researching and seeing if Disney sent out any Codes and I don't think that this is a violation of any of DISboards rules....I know the rules about entering other members codes, now I can't speak for everyone, but so far, all I see is members asking if there are codes sent out. Thank you for posting the information first, but like I said, I really don't see anyone asking other members for codes. Thank you and have a magical day. :thumbsup2

Come on. All this thread is about is people trying to find out what's up with the codes. Without threads like these, A LOT of people would miss out because Disney is terrible about emailing or snail mailing codes. Honestly, it ticks me off when moderators post message on threads like this. No one is sharing non-public codes...we're just talking about what Disney is making available and how to find out if you can take advantage of it.

Why are you re-posting the FIRST POST? it was started by the moderator on Feb 18th

Also, why the sarcastic remark about Disney and Disboards being located in Canada? We all know where Disney and Disboard is located

All the moderator was trying to point out is that it is against DISboard rules to post a PIN, but you said you already knew this, so what's the problem?

There has been 41 pages of chatter about FREE Dining and I appreciate everyone who has posted that they got a PIN :thumbsup2

So, Have a magical day yourself!

But people were sharing codes in previous threads that have now been deleted. You can't see them anymore because the threads have been removed.

The moderator started this new thread as a place were the PIN code discussion could continue, with the first post reminding us of the rules. Looks like all the rules have been followed so far with this thread.

I do understand that, and that is unfair and against the rules. If what I said came out the wrong way, I do apologize. But all I was saying is that no one here, so far, has asked for any codes and I also said I didn't. I truly hope that everyone understands the rules and I would hate to see anyone get ejected and deleted for asking the wrong questions. This site is about sharing great news and enjoying DISboards and maybe meeting new friends. I do love this site and love to share and get to know fellow Disney Lovers. I truly do hope that everyone have a Magical Day. :thumbsup2 :cool1:

Congratulations on getting your PIN yesterday. We all hope that your vacation will be a Magical Vacation. Just waiting to see if I can get sent a PIN for our trip in August... :thumbsup2

What an ignorant post. Knox deleted all of the "illegal" posts and codes already. What's the point of stirring up all the cr*p again? Geez.

I was just coming over here to join with a group of people waiting for free dining. But now I will just popcorn::and wait for this all to be shut down.

Boy the internet sure can bring out some dark sides huh?

Let's NOT make this personal. The DIS is supposed to be a FUN, FRIENDLY place to help with Disney vacation planning. I've seen it a hundred times, but it never fails to amaze me how planning a vacation can get folks SO riled up! :)

Moderating decisions are not fodder for the boards as per the DIS Posting Guidelines but posts asking for or sharing codes have been removed from this thread multiple times.

DIS Posting Guidelines : http://www.wdwinfo.com/guidelines.htm

You can't see what's been removed.

Regardless.. There were a flurry of posts some of which violated said guidelines for other reasons and some of which just quoted those posts.

Whatever. I deleted the whole shooting match and EVERYBODY gets a free pass on this one.. no infractions.

So can we stop with the fighting, and stay on the topic of the thread... which is a public free dining watch?

Thank you.

Knox

Thank You So Much. I was trying to enjoy it and I will. I have dropped it and now I'm ready to enjoy meeting other people and talking about Dining. Thank you CanadianGuy so much :thumbsup2. Have a magical day:cool1:

Anyone know if Free Dining is being offered the week of June 12-18? We booked through AAA - can we still get a PIN? I'm new to this PIN stuff so sorry for any ignorant questions. Thanks all!

Don't think that CatManDoo, that's what we're here to ask, if there are any PIN's..... Did you ask the AAA travel agent? Not to say that you didn't ask, but sometimes it doesn't hurt to ask, we're still waiting to see if Disney will send us a PIN. Good Luck and hope you get your PIN, have a Magical Day :thumbsup2
