Free Dining 2008 Watch

Trying to make reservations online. I followed the special link on the website but it seems to be adding the cost of the dining plan instead of giving me the free dining. Am I doing something wrong?

Got ours for the the same price that the web site quoted last week without dining. Did you click special offers?

Just curious... what number did you call to get through so easily? I called the 407-W-Disney and I am still waiting.

877 -939-3732..... if you are less than eight people and have been to WDW five times your sequence after the welcome would be this: 1, 2, phone#w/area code, 1, 1, 1, then you will be on hold

After holding for 1 hour and 10 minutes I got it! Very, very nice CM...no problem modifying my reservation other than had to move to preferred room. I'm okay with that...it still costs less than it did. Yay! I love the idea of eating free....

Last night I got a little scared. I called Monday and got free dining using the Disney visa card. All was well until I read where someone posted (not sure what thread) that you have to pay all of the package with the Disney visa card.

I thought ok then I need to call today to switch codes and hope that we still get the room. I told DH this and he said that we can pay some of the card off with the money we will get from the stimulus plan. He said I know somehow if we change codes it's going to mess us up with Pop Century. I was on hold for 1 hour and 10 minutes.

The wonderful CM told me that you only have to pay the deposit with the Disney visa and you can pay the balance off with whatever you want. I feel so much better and I think it's time to go back to bed. Good luck to everyone and here's some pixie dust that yall get what you want.

I am done! Got on hold right at 7am and the CM picked up at 8:03, done at 8:20!

We got everything we wanted:

PO Riverside: Alligator Bayou - water view room
Sept 15-Sept 22
7 day ticket, park hopper, no water parks and FREE DINING!!

YEAH!!! Now I just have to get DH to sit down and help me figure where we are eating so I can make the ADR's.

Don't wait to long because everything is going to be getting full fast.

hooorahhhh! I got free dining! I had to upgrade my room to a courtyard view, but thats ok!! I STIIL saved over $600!

Was on hold for 1 hr. and 21 minutes. While on hold, went online and booked with free dining: disneyworld.disney.go.com/wdw/special/offerDetail?id=08_Q4FreeDineBroadCharacterOfferPage. Got website from online CM chat. Booked our ressies and my in-laws ressies online and when I finally got through to someone on the phone, I confirmed that it went through--and it did! HOPE THIS HELPS! (Look for Special Rate Type on confirmation page: AUG TO SEPT MAGIC YOUR WAY PLUS DINE OFFER).

GOT IT!

I was on hold for about 45 minutes. I'm surprised at how easy it was, she did all the work! I just told her I wanted to add free dining, she said it was available and put me on hold for another 5 minutes and came back and confirmed everything with me. Super easy.

I'm going back to bed and dreaming off sweet semi-free disney food.

Tried today and was told no free dining available for POP. Only Sports or Music Values available. My guess is they hold rooms back for awhile. This happened last year too as POP became widely available in May.

Ended up being able to get it online. I stayed on the phone (about 40 min.) until it all went through online, then hung up. I did it so fast I have to check my confirmation page to make sure everything is right!
