Free DDP in 2008

Hi all, some of you may remember me and I was suppose to be heading to Disney last year in Sept for Free Dinning until my hubby was hurt on the job.
Anyway he has had surgery and with a lot of hope and many prayers we are hopeful that he will be back on track and to work in May.
I am trying to plan a trip for sometime in August so as not to have the kids miss any school, our oldest will be starting college this Sept.
I was just curious if anyone has heard any news either way as to if Disney will be offering the free dinning again this year.
This as you can imagine will be a major deciding factor as to when we go, if we go and where we will stay.
Any news would be helpful.

Bounceback free dining was offered to those staying during the free dining last year. It has been offered to the UK. There have been rumors that yes it will be offered and no it won't be offer. If it is offered, they usually announce around the 1st of April.

Last year you could book as of April 9th if you had a Disney Visa...a few days after for everyone else.

I have held off posting this becuse I hate speculation, but I was so sorry to hear of your cancelled trip I have to write it.
Of course this is just speculation as I do not believe the woman I spoke to has any "inside info" just guessing, but I wanted to add more days to our free dining bounceback a couple weeks ago, so I called, The CM said I had the max. amount of days, I asked if I could book a second res. and she said not now because the offer was over but that if they offer it in the spring I could. I said I doubted they would as they did the bounceback and she indicated it did not sell as well as some had thought it would, I guess I would agree, because they extended the offer deadline while I was there so I would think that to be true. She said she thought they would be offering it again. I think that could be very true, I would just be ready for it as they may not have as many rooms avaiable if they have already statred selling the promotion.
She did seem very knowledgable about their promotions and past history.

I think that the re-working of the 2008 DDP to exclude appys and tips was partly done so that Disney could continue to offer free dining while not losing out on quite so much profit. I would be surprised if it wasn't offered in April for the late Aug, Sept period.

If I book a ressie now - for that time period and pay the $200 and its offered - can I add it then to my current ressie or cancel and hope for available rooms?
