Free cups of water?

Contrary to popular belief, the water in WDW CS places that comes out of the soda fountain IS filtered (many soda distributors require it from places that sell their products from soda fountains, and Disney follows this, as do the Sea World/Busch parks). This water is NOT the same as the swamp water from the actual drinking fountains. Lived here my whole life... I can taste the difference! :rotfl2:

Agreed.8 think it tastes great. But then again, lol, I live here.

I never bother with the fountains. Although I did sip off the one at Thunder Mountain and itbtasted fine to me. :thumbsup2

actually, you dont have to wait in line at a CS location for water..just walk up to the side of the counter and ask for water...

<<I've noticed for whatever reason MK gives you huge cups and epcot gives you small ones. Not sure aout the other two, I'm working my way around.>>
I havent found this to be true..in fact i was at epcot today and oredered to cups of water and was given the 22 oz cup..

Maybe it comes down to cast member discretion then. I definitely thought it was odd.

Also, I wouldn't recommend walking up to the side and asking for water. That's not really fair to the people waiting in line. I always wait my turn just like everyone else. I saw someone do that once at Universal and everyone was pissed. I was actually pissed at the worker for not telling him to get in line. If you don't want to wait, there are plenty of drinking fountains. Sorry to be a downer, but that's one of my pet peeves. I don't think free ice water entitles anyone to skip the line and make everyone else wait. ;)

Well said :thumbsup2

We always wait in line ~ especially with 7 of us! Hopefully when we go in two weeks we won't have to wait in too long of a line. We'll see. Thanks everyone!

I doubt it. I've been medium sized crowds lately and I've not had to wait long at all. In 2 weeks it will be even less crowded. The only non-ride lines I've had to wait in lately are the bakery lines. But I'm willing to wait for those! :rotfl:
