If you have a Sears credit card issued by Citibank, there is a link on the website that will give you your credit score for free.

Unless the website they are directing you to is myfico.com then it is not a true credit score. Those fake scores can vary +/- 100 points from your true fico.

And be very careful, many of these have you signing up for a service. For example, I just got an offer from one card for free scores. I went to the site and it did give me a score and detail from one of the services, but if I had wanted all three there would have been an $11. per month fee. And the score it showed me for that particular company had a range of 330 to 830. Even though it showed a specific score it was on their range.

I just got my score for free from my Amer Exp card. It was for Experian.

If you go onto the AE webpage and log in to your account, you will see the message for it. It never asked me to sign up for anything.

It also gave me a copy of my credit report from Experian.

I tried it...wonder if that is off, too. (seemed high)
You are entitled to a free credit report from EACH reporting source once/yr. I check one each 4 months.
Go thru annualcreditreport--THAT is the consumer site to get these for free w/ no need to sign up for services. (tho you DO have to pay for a credit SCORE)
