We have vouchers for free breakfasts, and don't know what to do! We don't even really know where the vouchers are valid as the list on the back is, I think, out of date.

I think we might prefer to have a late breakfast and call it lunch, which means we need either to eat in a park, or within easy reach of one. We are staying off site, so will be driving.

I don't think we mind too much about which characters, although the boys are probably not too interested in princesses! Winnie the Pooh would be a good choice, but any would go down well.

My niece is a vegetarian, and we are going during the last fortnight in October.

Where would you recommend? Should we book in advance? How far in advance??

Thanks in anticipation:) :bounce:

Hi Edie :) I think you might like the Crystal Palace buffet breakfast - the Crystal Palace is in the Magic Kingdom and has Winnie The Pooh and friends present.
When you check in at the podium, inform them that your niece is a vegetarian and I think you'll find them helpful. (I don't think they serve breakfast past 10.30am).

Edie

Crystal Palace is a good choice or perhap's Donald's Breakfastaurus in AK. I am a veggie and have found plenty to eat here to your neice will be fine :)

Hi Edie, I would say if it is important ot you to get a particular character breakfast on a specific day and time to go ahead and make a PS. Apparently some people making PS's for Nov are not getting the times that they want. You can make breakfast PS's at 90 days, so you are within that time frame now, so once you decide where you are going to eat I would go ahead and book it.

With regards to where to eat Donalds's Breakfastasaurus in AK is also a good choice. The characters at this breakfast include Donald, Mickey, and Pluto.

If you have a look at this link http://wdwig.com/cb.htm you will find some more info.

This link will give you info. about vegetarian food at the world http://wdwig.com/vegtsparks.htm

Good luck with your planning.

Thank you. I thought Crystal Palace would be ideal, except it isn't listed on the back of the certificate. Does anyone out there have experience of using the free certificates that come with the 10 day World pass, in locations other than those listed on the back?

Also, several people on these boards have rated the Restaurantosaurus (presumably this is where the breakfastosaurus happens?) poorly. What was on the menu?

Our day-by-day planning is planned for the flight (trying to curb control freakery!), so we won't know where we are going until we land. The breakfast isn't a big deal for us - we're only doing it because we have the vouchers - but we do want to have the opportunity to use them in a place we'll all enjoy - which means veggie food and some characters need not to be princesses!

Here is the menu for Donald's breakfastasaurus:

All-You-Can-Eat Breakfast Buffet served until 10 a.m. daily

Egg Beaters Available from Your Server Upon Request
Dino Eggs (Tiny Donuts)
Coffee Cake
Muffins
Croissants
Breakfast Pizza
Quiche
Bagels
Biscuits
Fresh Fruit
Cinnamon Apple Slices
Assorted Cereals
Scrambled Eggs
Western Eggs
Omelets
Hash Browns
Dino Hash
Potatoes
Pancakes and Chocolate Chip Pancakes
Cinnamon French Toast
Sausage
Bacon
Oatmeal
Grits
Juices
Coffee
Milk

I don't know how good/bad it is as I have never been. We are planning to go in Dec. I prefer to make my own mind up about the
different character meals etc.

Good luck!

Well that certainly sounds like something for everyone!

Thanks

We got the free breakfast last year and did not book anything until there. We were firmly advised at guest services that the vouchers were ONLY acceptable at the(few) venues listed... and we did'nt know how to find some of them!! We settled on Hollywood & Vine, mainly due to availability, and had a great meal (full buffet), which all the kids loved and had lots of interaction with the characters. (If we'd paid much attention to various reviews of H & V we may have been put off, but luckily we just went!) There were, I think, plenty of veggie options. Good luck, Mike.

Yes - that was our original choice but apparently H&V don't do breakfasts any more. . I think it looks like the breakfastosaurus at the moment!

Hi

I don't want to put you off, but we did AK breakfastosaurus on our trip last month, using our free breakfast, and we were not too impressed. We had our PS made well in advance, for 8.10am - the first sitting.

I felt the service was poor - the first thing our server asked was if we were using our free breakfast voucher.....!! We didn't see our server much (at all...... - jugs of coffee and juice were placed on the table, and we cleared the dirty plates away ourselves. The food was ok - not brilliant, but there was a good choice. Character interaction was limited - but it is a large place.

Maybe we were just unlucky - but I will not be having breakfast there again.

This is the only Character Breakfast available using the 10 - day ticket voucher - and I'm a bit suspicious of this :(

Hope you make the right choice...

Cath:D :D :D

Edie we're in disney now in the middle of a thunderstorm & had our free breakfast on Sunday
,
we had our at the grand floridian hotel , 1900 park fayre & it was great. I can definately recommend it

it was an all you can eat buffet with a cm making omlettes on demand which would be good for your veggie

we had winnie pooh & eeyore & were greated at the door by mary poppins & Bert.

If you have voucher which needs to be exchanged at disney you can only do this INSIDE animal kingdom & because of this we had to alter our ps.

Oooh so much conflicting advice!!

Cath - I'd heard as much before. I have a bit of a thing about good service although do try to be a bit laid back when on holiday!

Sue - is this still true - that the breakfastosaurus is the only character breakfast in park you can go to with the voucher?? I see from the other threads that you are staying off site. Did you go to MK via Monorail after 1900 Park Fayre? Where did you park for the day? What is the latest breakfast they serve? (Questions questions....;) )

We have "certificates" which came with our real tickets (2 Donalds, 2 Minnies, 3 Goofys and 3 Mickeys - v.v. exciting!)

Thank you :)

PS. did you still tip the CM 15% of what the bill would have been?

Edie

yes Breakfastsaurus is the only one available in a park under the free offer. We did this one 2 years ago & loved it The only reason we didn't go is we wanted somewhere different.

WE parked at the Grand Floridian & the car park attendant didn't give us the 3 hour pass so technically we could have stayed there all day. We didn't, we chose to move the car after breakfast.
we could have gone on the monorail but that option would have meant setting off much earlier & as we were in the middle of our hols the kids were resisting getting up too early!!!!

Sorry never asked when last booking time was, ours was for 8.50 ( I think) & when we came out it was getting MUCH busier.

We did leave a tip on the table.

Hi,

We were at Breakfastsaurus less than two weeks ago, and I`m sorry to say I was not impressed. We booked this on all the great info we had read on the sites, may be it was an off day, but all I can say is that I am glad we did not have to pay (used vouchers).

We had a sitting booked for 7.50am (the earliest) CM`s were messing about at entrance I don`t actually think anyone knew what they were doing, got to our table at 8.25 (not a good start) but hey things can always improve.

The buffet was very limited, no dino eggs, no breakfast pizza, no cinamon apple apple slices, or dino hash or sausages, well maybe the chef was having an off day!! I only eat croissants so didn`t bother me too much. The food was cold. eek!

The characters included Mickey, Donald and Goofy. They were extremely rushed, came to your table to sign autograph book a very quick photo and then they were off. We thought that by doing a breakfast, there would have been more time for a character interaction with DD. We spent more time with them in the parks.

Sorry to put anyone off, maybe it was just one of those days, it didn`t spoil the holiday one little bit, just would have preferred it not to be so rushed.

We did 1900 Park Fare last August. It was really good. The food was very fresh and hot.

We parked at TTC then took monorail. Very easy our breakfast was at 8:50(I think). We went to MK afterwards without having to move car.

Just back and did the following for breakfast:-
1st Day- Cinderellas Castle- 3yr old daughter in awe. Good meal and with it being in the castle that little extraspecial(not on the free breakfast list though)
3rd Day- Princess storybook breakfast (Norway EPCOT). Better food but quite a walk from the park enterence.
5th Day- Donaldsbreakfastaurous (Animal Kingdom) Very good food (can use the free voucher) only place to see Donald at Breakfast.
10th Day- Chef Mickeys (Contemp Resort) without doubt the best food, atmosphere and service. Both 5yr old boy and 3yr old girl loved it. (minnie had a thing for me and came back twice to kiss me)
Have a good one.

We returned last week. We had a voucher as part of our 10 day World Ticket but weren't planning to use it. However, as it was my daughter's birthday during the trip we thought it would be nice to book a breakfast for her birthday. We weren't stopping at Disney (had a villa down US27) but chose the Cape May Cafe at Disney's Beach Club Resort (near Epcot). We had excellent service. Characters were Minny, Goofy and Chip 'n' Dale. When the waitress found out it was my daughter's birthday they had a cake made up and got everyone to sing Happy Birthday. Got some great pics with the crew. Good choice of food as well. Worth the early start from our villa!
