Free After Hours Event for DVC members

Just yesterday I saw the invite for the 14th! We were traveling on the 13th when the email arrived and it went to spam. Since we were doing the 5K the next morning I don't know that we would have done it anyway as some sleep before getting up at 4am was kind of nice but DVC obviously became a filler for a smaller than hoped for attendance. Nice for those that could though.

Not everyone got one, even if they were DVC members staying on points at a DVC resort on one of the dates offered. So they have to be offering them to DVC members with a stay booked on that day. I guess with the MDE accounts, it lead them to you which is why your husband was not listed.

Glad you were able to experience it.

Not sure how it worked or why... my group of 10 was all running the races that weekend. Some were on points, some were on cash. One person was not on a reservation and was in NJ and still got the email invitation!

Anybody get an email offering tickets to tonight's event? Curious whether that was just for the first week or will be repeated.

Most likely we won't hear right away. Most folks are too busy having fun to post....and we can't blame them.

Yep, for sure -- I hope they are enjoying vacation and not compulsively checking email or stopping too long to check the boards!
Last week I think it came out on Weds. afternoon, so I was just putting it out there. Thought maybe people there this week who heard about the offering last week might be checking. I'll be there next week, so curious how this trends.....

I'm watching too. I'm there THREE of the dates in May. Plus I've since gone on my DVC page and made sure my email was correct. I also did it for my husband and my daughter who all have accounts and are all owners on my account. I don't check my email regularly while on vaca. Generally in the morning while having my coffee.

There is One scheduled tonight 4/22 and we did not get an invite. We are at OKW for a week. I wonder if a select few DVCers are invited.......

I think there would be a post or two if the offer had come out. My suspicion is it's unlikely to happen again. They won't want to have it a regular freebie - they want all attending to be paying vs just waiting to go if it's free. The initial was just a good way to start to get some feedback out about how great of an experience it is.

I agree. I believe it was a way to say they were at full capacity and generate a buzz that it was "magically" sold out.

Yep...it's still available to purchase so I see no reason why they wouldn't have done the same thing for tonight if they were going to make it an ongoing thing to use DVC members as "filler". We will be there next week and were hoping we might get this email as I can't justify paying full boat after I already having paid for annual passes. In my perfect world they would just make this another evening EMH for all onsite guest...I love it when the MK is open late! But Disney is seeing those $$

I just read on the theme parks board that people staying at AOA got free ticket invites tonight.
