Sorry, I'm late to the party. Is this a soft or hard goods refurb?

The fact that they told me their not replacing most of the furniture is interesting to me. Because they def have to replace the drawers under the tv to put the single sleeper

So it will be interesting what furniture is kept. I was told it was going to be the kitchen tables, island and everything the same but im finding it kind of hard to believe. We will see soon enough.

I guess only the really rough furniture went to cast connections which explains why its going for so cheap.

I was told they are keeping the headboards awhile back. Which bummed me out because I would’ve loved to pick it up on the resale market. Oh well.

This is a hard good refurbishment that’s long overdue. It should’ve been completed before BLT’s was.

I’m shocked someone complained about The Mara. I thought the food was the best quick service on property. That harissa beef bowl is perfect.

Im not sure how i should go about this, if I should ask my guide or just ask what floor the new rooms are on and stalk lol! I feel like if I just ask them to see it its going to be a no

I am too, we ate there and it was really good and we already ate there a second time. I am going to write in the survey that we loved it

I’ve heard some complaints that in recent years post covid the menu isn’t as good as it was previously. I don’t know first hand but there are items on menu from before that I was really excited to try (oak fired rotisserie chicken/ribs) that never came back. A quick glance at 2018 menu also reads to me as much better then current so it’s possible the change over time is the complaint.

That I’m clueless but for regular viewing they would say lower floors at Kidani for under tree top views. (Jambo stuck up on 5th).

Are they seriously keeping some of the furniture? Much like the VGC refurb disaster? Please tell me this isn''t the case.

Keep the wonderfully authentic elements of what makes AKV great, but they HAVE to remove that dark/old furniture and add some lighting to brighten the place up <IMO>

If they start charging to use a GC or stop allowing GC payments for dues I can guarantee you I will sell most if not all of my contracts.

Well, I take back this statement. I just did my cash value w/ discount for my next trip. DVC has me hook line and sinker. Im not going anywhere even if/when they do stuff to makes me mad and makes it a little less desirable.
