I just received a snail mail card for a free $40.00 gift card if I complete a DVC 10 minute guided online tour.... Has anyone done this?:confused3

We did it the last two years... very easy, no pressure BUT you will get an occasional phone call and/or email from them but again, it was no pressure and we received the GC about 3-4 weeks after taking the online tour!

Just did mine (phone only) this morning. Said I should receive gc in about 30 days. Heck, a free $40 for Disney? I'll take it! :goodvibes

OP: You said the offer you got was by mail?? Was it a postcard or a letter?? I'll have to watch my mailbox. I'm assuming its a $40 Disney gc?? I'd be all over that!

Mine was a postcard.
You will receive a phone number to call - BUT you have to be a Disney VISA holder to avail yourself of the offer - they will ask you for the 1st 6 digits of your acct #.
I've thrown my postcard with the number on it away (rec'd my $40 card already - and it came within a week or so). But the number is posted on the previously noted link.
Good luck.

It took about 50 minutes over the phone for me. I knew most of the information they told me. The lady was very nice. The main reason mine took so long is, we are somewhat interested in buying. I just don't feel it provides enough savings for us. Look forward to the gift card.

Mine was a regular mailer (not a postcard). I never had to give any of my Disney Visa cc #'s or anything. They never actually made me do the online tour. They asked me a few questions, said "we see you've called a few years ago" and just took my updated info. and said okay, gc will be there in 30 days. The 2nd guy I talked to actually seemed like he was in a rush to get me off the phone! Okay by me, I just wanted the gift card.

fwiw my aunt just did it today and she said they told her dvc is "on sale" till 12/31, save $3000 on the minimum buy in

Yep, I got a snail mail postcard and called, took about ten minutes on the phone. The only thing that made me crazy was the salesperson continually saying "jiminy cricket" every time she wanted to express surprise. Ha! I guess it was about two weeks ago, waiting for the gift card.

I got a snail mail card too. It took 13 minutes on the phone and I got my giftcard yesterday, about two weeks after the phone call. Easiest $40 I've ever made!

I spent about 15 minutes on the phone yesterday with two different (very friendly, non pushy) people. I got an e-mail, but didn't have to do an online tour.

I just got the $40 gift card by Fed Ex today. I did the tour about 3 weeks ago by phone. It was really easy and took about 15 minutes because I did ask a couple questions. There was no pressure whatsoever to buy and the gentleman I spoke with was very pleasant. The easiest $40 I ever made! :)

Thanks for the heads up on this. I received something from DVC in the mail a week or so ago but have no idea what I did with it amongst all the Christmas mailings. I called the 1-888 number and everything went smoothly except that the first man I spoke with had a really hard time understanding which letters I was using to spell my name and email address and mailing address. That made me a bit concerned as to whether I would actually receive the card. He kept using x instead of s, which is why my email says Roxanne :rolleyes1. The next guy was able to understand me and fixed my email address at least since the first guy was missing a character. I should have had him check to see that my name and address were done correctly. I'm hoping that they will be able to cross reference using my Disney Visa info.

Anyway... it was quick and painless. It will be great to have the card to use on my April visit provided the address is not messed up.

This sounds pretty good. My sales rep didn't mention this unless by saying it would be $9,900 for 100 points with the minimum buy in maybe that is after the discount?

I just called and was told no since I did not receive the postcard, although a Disney Visa holder. Bummer.
