We went back to the DR today. I am not healing as fast as they would hope. So they ran some lab work and did another culture to see if anything else is going on. I am getting very bored with being trapped in the house. So looks like the Visting nurse will still be coming for a few more weeks.

Do you not feel well enough to go out?

So, what else do they think could be going on?? Is it that your infection is not clearing up at all?

I feel okay. But due to the fact the wound is open they want me to be careful about being around people. They are worried about germs.
Yeah they put me on meds and as soon as I stop taking them the infection seems to get going again.
I am not sure what the next move will be. I have a feeling the are going to have to put a port in.So I be hooked to an IV for the meds.

We have missed you.When do you leave for Disney?

Yeah they need to do something. I think the reason they are trying to avoid the port is I will have to be admitted in the hospital to make sure I do not have trouble with the meds. Plus it is a long haul. They said it is like 30 days twice a day.
But I did clean out my bedroom closet today. I found a cookie Jar of the castle from Disneyland. Not sure what to do with it but I have it.
I told John his closet is next on my list.

Sure I have nothing else to do.
But I like to throw everything out when I clean. John is so worried about me cleaning his closet.

Did i mention China week on the travel channel really made me want to go? LOL... something about that Travel channel. I never wanted to ever go there until then.

I know what you mean... the Travel Channel does that to me too! Dangerous, I tell you!! The worst thing for me is all the cruise emails I get. I really want to go on a southern Caribbean cruise, down to St. Lucia and Barbados. Problem is, we'd have to bring all the kids, get two rooms.. it's expensive. Grandma doesn't babysit.. so if we want to go somewhere, we all have to go.

Jennifer-you will love camping(I hope )at the beach. It's so nice going to sleep with the sound of waves crashing. Do you have a tent or camper? We have always been tent campers but, now that I'm old I gotta have my blow up mattress. If you are a total newbie I'd be glad to share some tips. Just send me a pm with any questions.

Thanks, Marna! We're total newbies.. went camping ONCE as a kid, and the extent of our camping lately has been the Ft. Wilderness cabins! We don't have a tent yet, so we're looking for one. I'll have to send you a PM with my questions! Thanks.

Your immune system is still struggling, eh? Hmmm...maybe I'll have to look around and see if I can put together a box of stuff to entertain you while you get healthy again.

Do you have any photos that need to be organized from previous trips? Do you do any type of crafting that you can catch up on now?

IAHD, I remember having wisdom teeth broken up so they could get them out. I had roots that curved under the jaw bone....they had to pull one piece out in one direction and another piece out in another direction. Is that what you had? Those teeth are so darn big it may take a few days to start feeling better. The wisdom teeth seem to be harder on 'ya than any others pulled....I don't know why.

Our weather is getting "stuffy" out here. We have some fires scattered around the state and we need rain to break the smoke up. We don't usually get rain this time of year, tho'.

Ok, now that I have said that about rain....we just had a storm blow over that had lightening, thunder, rain, and hail the size of gum balls! We never get hail in August!

I should cover the grill, I guess. Let's test that new paint job, shall we??

Your hail storm looked like the one that went through here Friday afternoon before our drive to Boston. Boy, was that drive fun. I was hopeful we were clear after the hail, but we were stuck in 3 downpours on our way to Boston. How is everyone today??
