Your hail storm looked like the one that went through here Friday afternoon before our drive to Boston. Boy, was that drive fun. :scared: I was hopeful we were clear after the hail, but we were stuck in 3 downpours on our way to Boston. How is everyone today??

Where did you go in Boston?

Spent the weekend in Hull; my godmother lives there. You would think that on the first great weekend they would want to go to the beach? :confused3 No dice. We spent the weekend watching the Olympics and going to Quincy Market to pig out. :rotfl:

French fries, clam chowda, and drinks from the Monkey Bar

Did not try out The Monkey Bar; the boys behind the bar seemed to have quite a loyal audience of tweens that I did not want to interrupt.:lmao: We did have the Chowda and my DS11 had lo mein from the Noodle Co.

Okay this family is falling apart.
Shaunna fell at a friends house last night and John took her to the dr. I think it is just a sprain. But they put her in a air cast and had xrays done. The dr thinks she may have chipped a bone.

:goodvibes Oh Kellie I am sorry to hear about your DD. This must be the weekend for accidents. Yesterday I had my first crash on my bike only a few bumps and bruises. Then later in the afternoon we went river rapid riding and me and Natalie were thrown form the boat right at the white water spot on the run. My husband grab Natalie before she was pulled under the boat and had to look for me as the boat came down on top of me and he said it seemed like forever before I surfaced. Then it took the rope throwers 500 yards to get a rope to me and we finally got me back in the boat. I ended up with a huge scrap and my body is killer today but the worry in my daughters eyes as she watched me helplessly is still killing me inside today. She just kept saying I am sorry mommy we couldn't save you faster. Kids they just know how to hit those heartstrings.

So how was everyone elses weekend?:goodvibes

OH MY.I am so glad you guys are okay.:grouphug: poor Natalie must of be so scared to see you in trouble like that. Give her a hug hug from me.
I understand you feeling of seeing that look in her eyes being tough. She is such a good girl that loves her mom

Theresa-I bet you are SORE today. That has happened to me before with a raft and a canoe and it's kind of scary for a few minutes. I'm just sorry that Natalie was so scared.:sad2:

Kellie-that is just crummy about your infection and Shaunna's fall. You better keep a close eye on John since it's his turn.

As for the weather here, it is downright glorious!:hippie: Last night it actually got down to the low 50's and the high has been around 80 the last couple of days. Our usual August weather is 90's, sticky and yucky so this is such a treat. Tonight we're going to have a fire in the backyard and stargaze. Maybe some smores are in order as well.

I am feeling better tonight and Natalie is finally less tense about yesterday. I am really eager to try it again but with out Natalie. Kellie tell your DD I hope her ankle feels better and I hope you are trying to take it easy.

Where are all the Freaps today?:confused3 I've been busy so I'm just now checking in. Nothing exciting going on here, just tons of things to be done and it seems like I always run out of hours in the day.:headache:

Do ya'll remember me saying we had a bat living under the siding next to our master bedroom? Well...yesterday evening, we built a campfire in the backyard and were laying on a blanket looking at the stars. Right about the time it started getting dark, DH says "Oh, look. There goes our bat." Then, one after another, bats start flying out from a corner of our roof that was messed up in a storm back in the spring-15 in all!!!!!:scared1: DH, with his brilliant way with words said "Hmph....I thought that was an awful lot of sh*t for one little bat.":rotfl2: I thought it was sweet to have one up there, but I'm not so sure how I feel about THAT many.:confused3 Of course we have to fix the roof before winter, but now we'll have to make sure the bats are all out before we do anything to it.

Did anyone else win a photobook in the Quaker Cereal Book of Life sweepstakes from shutterfly?

Hey Freaps!
I am a daily lurker (mostly) on the freebie thread but I never got around to coming over here. My DD14 just told me the funniest story and I thought ya'll might appreciate it!

I'm sure I am like you and receive all varieties of free things in the mail--towels, tshirts, toiletries, dog food, tv remotes, and other cool things from Bzz Agent, etc. DH and the kids will often ask where'd you get____? And I'll say "It was free!" (That's when they roll their eyes sometimes)
So DD wakes up and says she had the "Awesomest" dream. She dreamed that we got an iPod in the mail with "a huge number of Gigs" (her words) and then I said "I got it for free--from the freebie thread--do you want it?" Shhe grabbed it and plugged it in and it was full of all the songs she's been wanting to download.

Anyway, it made me :lmao: and I thought ya'll might 'get it'!

Off to football practice ~ 1st day of full pads/contact practice  :scared:
