Madd,
Did you see the photo of Johnnie at the airport some posted on the freebie thread. Looks like they stalked him and it paid off.:rotfl2:

Yes- I saw him! Right now I am not drooling over his new character- he is too clean cut and baby faced- I like my Johnny all scruffed up!:guilty:

I am off work today- however, I had to be at the dentist @ 7:30am! WHY do I do that to myself- I know, I like to be done early so I have the rest of the day.

Going to meet DH for lunch and after that who knows.

I also took Thurs and Fri off- the weather is supposed to be beautiful! I am taking mom shopping in this nice little historical town not too far away and we will have lunch.

Well, I hate to be Little Miss Gloom and Doom, but I really need some positive thinking, prayer, pixie dust or whatever today. We just found out(literally) that the governor used his power of line item veto to cut DH's job out of the state budget.:sad2: The legislators now have until midnight to override any of his 10 vetoes that he did. Unfortunately the Commisioner of the Dept. of Ag. in the state doesn't seem too interested in arguing the case for the state tree nurseries so we are probably screwed.:headache: I guess it's just easier for all involved to make "easy" cuts instead of actually working to solve the problem. I just don't know what we will do.:confused3

:grouphug: I am so sorry to hear this news! I really was hoping things were looking up for you guys. I will keep my fingers crossed that something can be done albeit last minute to help save his job!

UGH! No one cares about the little guys! I can't comment on how I feel- I can get banned!:scared1:

I am sedning lots of pixie dust to you and your family- :tinker:

And sending a msg to your Governor-- Karma is a B&%$H buddy!:thumbsup2

DH just called to let me know that our state representative called to let him know that he is "doing all he can" to make sure that at least one of the nurseries stays open. Now, what that means I don't know.:confused3 Apparently, the gov. just didn't like the wording in the budget that said that the nurseries were to remain "fully" funded for the next two years.:confused3 I guess he wants to make sure they can mess with them some more in the future if they want.:headache: Meanwhile I have been scoping out jobs all over the country. There is a great one in Salem, Oregon that pays about $25,000/year more than DH makes.:scared1: Wonder what the cost of living is like there?:confused3 The bad thing is we could never sell our house to get even what we owe out of it. :sad2:

BUT...if he is making more money, it might be in your best interest to take the loss and move. And wouldn't that loss be a tax deduction next year?

:pixiedust: that you don't have to worry about it.

And now for something (not) completely different...
I've been obsessed with Johnny movies after seeing his beautiful face last week:cloud9: ...
Anyway, just finished "Blow"--he was very nice in that one, even with the stomach paunch towards the end. I cannot imagine the real Johnny aging like that, though--he just keeps getting better!
This past week I've also watched "Cry Baby" (LOVE! John Waters' extremely quirky sense of humor!), "Benny and Joon," "Sleepy Hollow" (cutie-pa-tootie--I think I prefer him clean shaven, except for when he plays Jack Sparrow, which is my all-time fav character), and "What's Eating Gilbert Grape" (my kids loved that one--DiCaprio is really amazing). "Finding Neverland," "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory," and "Chocolat" are also de-lish, but haven't watched them recently.
I just rented "Libertine." Will watch soon. Any other Johnny movies I need to see?
I need to get a life! :scared:

Where have you been? We have missed you. Is everything ok?

Madd there is a new Johnny picture on the freebie thread. He is looking hot.

. Any other Johnny movies I need to see?
Donnie Brasco. One of my faves. He is undercover in the mafia, so he is wearing the leather jacket. However, he dose have to chop up body parts :scared: , but all in all not too bad a price to pay...:lovestruc

Yes--that's a good one! I forgot that one! Thanks!

How about Don Juan DeMarco? In that , he thought he was Don Juan and was seducing all the women. It's been a long time since I saw it. Marlon Brando was his psychiatrist, and while helping him with his delusions, learned a few things to help with his own marriage to Faye Dunaway. Bryan Adams sings, "Have you ever really loved a woman".

I remember this movie being kinda sweet.

would you believe that I STILL have not seen the last POTC? I bought it on DVD the day it came out-we missed it at the theater- and still haven't watched it...don't tell madd..
