You are too funny Madd.:lmao: Suuuureee they are pets.:rotfl2: Actually, I guess it's possible. My SIL, who is a totally insane animal hoarder, has a pet steer named Ralphie that is huge! I always say when we drive up, "Yummmmm...Ralphie sure looks tasty today.":rotfl:

Sorry about your dog mtblujeans. If we get the opportunity, I wouldn't mind having a lab or a lab mix. They are awfully good dogs.

Do a landscape and get creative with pretzel sticks :thumbsup2

I think I will go with your idea DH suggested I make a 3ft cupcake in the shape of the effiel tower. I thinkhe fell of his rocker :lmao: . I am going to search online for cake decor this week and see what I come up with. I always love your cakes they are always so cute.

Madd and all my fellow Freap friends who are also Johnny obsessed--
Back from 48 hours of JOHNNY WATCH 2008 and happy to report that yes, we saw him and he was BEAUTIFUL! I have to say, after waiting since 5:00 a.m. to see that gorgeous man, by the time we did finally see him about 13 hours later, we were so stunned and overwhelmed that we couldn't compose ourselves enough to take a picture. But we were the distance of a sidewalk away from him as he drove by and waved from the back of the SUV--close enough to see just how amazing he looks.
My DD14 was so thrilled she cried--and said it was the best day of her life. (She also ended up on the Fox news--so it was really a bonus day for her!) My DS9 said he didn't see Johnny, but later we were talking about it and asked, "You mean the guy in the car? Oh yea, I saw him." (No big deal to him--what does he know!?)
I wish I had a picture to share--met a lot of Johnny fans (that was a blast!) and some offered to email any pictures they got--so if I get one I'll post it.
I think this Johnny sighting will get me through many a bleak, gray rainy day...:cloud9:

I guess you did not have much time to get a pic if he was driving by!- My luck- the darn pic would have come out blurried b/c of the movement- and I would have totally missed seeing him b/c I was worried about getting a good pic!:rotfl2:

Hi everyone,

Kellie so glad to hear about all of your good news. :goodvibes

Mtblujeans - sorry about your doggie

It's absolutely beautiful here for opening day. I was out pruning the roses and cleaning out the flower beds - feels good to be out in the sun. Thought I would share this with you all. This is Daisy, she is having a very hard day of cat napping...

Hey AlexWyattMommy!!!!

Did you get the free dining for your August trip!!??

I know I am usually brain dead- but I know it is you that I am going to meet up with right!?:lmao: :rotfl2:

No. We decided to not bother with the need for two reservations. Between having to check out and check back in and possible move that means packing and unpacking-it'll eat up a day. Plus we would lose the discount on the room and have to buy 1 day tickets each, it would cost more than the actual savings on the dining. We are okay with it. We aren't doing the dining plan and have ADRs for most lunches and buffets.

Where did you get to see him at? Was he filming his new movie? I missed him when he came near me:mad: That's so neat!

Yes, he was working on interior scenes of "Public Enemies" at the Paramount Theater in Aurora, IL. We were very fortunate to see him as he was returning to the theater from dinner. Other even luckier people got to shake hands (**oh my--I would've either peed my pants or done some other dumb thing had I been able to touch him!**) with him around midnight as he came out when done filming. I had my kids with me and couldn't stay out that late (not after having gotten up at 3:30 that morning!)
I am amazed at the amount of $$$ and time spent on filming a couple scenes--schlepping everyone and everything here and then leaving again the next day (for Wisconsin, I think). Even the catering truck was from California. Don't misunderstand me--I'm not complaining because I did get to see Johnny and spend a lot of time with fellow Johnny freaks! But it does explain why movies cost so much to make.
He's supposed to be traveling around the midwest filming until June. I think I need to do some research to find out where he is next.:lovestruc

Side note--very sorry to hear about your dog, mtblujeans.

I envy you guys with your cake decorating skills! I have never been able to decorate a cake! :sad2:

Thanks for the sympathy over the loss of our pet. I was ready to take him to the vet and put him down. I didn't want him to suffer and he was getting bad. It was best he went quietly as he did. We had had him for as long as the kids could remember and I think they are taking it the hardest.

We have cattle that we sell for meat (sorry Madd) and these red angus are supposed to be for that purpose but DH loves them like crazy and he just keeps breeding them and keeping them! :rotfl: DH has them so tame they are all like pets....you can walk out there and pet them - unless they have a baby with them. Then we ALL stay a safe distance. No point in testing their instincts to protect.

We had another calf pop out this morning. Now, we have 2 new heifers and 2 new bulls. He is hoping to sell the bulls to kids for 4H projects.

Speaking of Johnny....did anyone see the picture of him on page 15 of the April 7th People? YUM! I may just have to scan that one!

For those of you who aren't aware... Disney has a free online game called Virtual Magic Kingdom ( vmk). It has existed for about 4-5 years. This is a fun SAFE online game that kids and adults play. There is a vmk thread here on the DIS you can check out if you like.

why am i asking for help? Because now the big-wigs at Disney are planning to close VMK for good on May 21st. THere is an online petition that I am asking my freap friends to please sign. This is an awesome place to have some good clean fun. My kids and I have made such good friends in this game that we , along with many many other players, do NOT want it closed.

So please please click on the banner below and sign the petition. You don't have to be a player to sign, nor do you have to put in your real name or email. We just need signatures.

Please help us SAVE VMK! SAVE VMK!

Thank you soo much : )

I clicked, but nothing happened. :confused3

Anyplace that is fun and safe for children is worth a look to see.

Wow, Kellie, you must have the constitution of a brick wall!! Glad you are moving forward but don't push too hard....spoken like a nagging mother. :goodvibes

My DS has a small part in a play and that is taking place this week. Had a couple of big band concerts last week.

Our 15 year old dog passed away this weekend. He was a 'pound puppy'. I guess his mother was a pure bred black lab and 'a travelin' man' got through the fence at her and all that litter of puppies ended up at the pound for adoption. He was a good dog and very, very gentle. He had been slowing down since January and we knew he wouldn't last much longer.

Then, two of our cows had calves yesterday so we have two new babies on the property. They arrived a week early but that is normal for red angus. We have a few more due next week so they should be arriving any day now. We have such a small 'ranch' that it is still a big deal when calves arrive around here. :rotfl:

This summer is going to be sooooo busy with all of the repairs we need to do....both to the house and the outbuildings. I am not looking forward to it but it has to be done!

Sounds like everyone else is busy, busy too! :thumbsup2
I am happy being at work. I feel that is one place I have control over what is going on in my life.
