Kellie,

Good luck tomorrow! I will be sending prayers & pixie dust your way :thumbsup2 Hopefully you will be able to go home afterwards :flower3:

Thank _You
I so plan on coming home. I think since they are not knocking me out they will have a tough time keeping me. I always tell them John takes better care of me than anyone so I need to go home. He is such a good nurse to me

Oh my gosh, that nurse is a hoot!! :rotfl:

Why do you DIS? I like posting comments and everyone can come back/catch up as they have time. But, my sense of humor falls flat in print! ;)

What is your favorite Disney ride? I like Buzz Lightyear, too!

What would be your ideal car? I would love to have a solar car that can go as far as I want it to.

Why do I Dis? Started to get info on our 1st trip, now I look for freebies and chat with Freaps :hippie: .
Favorite Disney ride? Splash Mountain :thumbsup2
Ideal car? Bring back the electric Saturns!!

Is the procedure tomorrow? I know you will be so glad to get this over with. Have John let us know how you are doing and you take it easy after.

It is. We are leaving the house about early and hopefuly I will be home by noon time. John laughs when I tell him what time I want to be home by. He tells me it is not all about me.:confused3 :lmao:
But I am glad they are not knocking me out. At least I can bounce back faster. I am also going to have them keep me out of work for a couple of more weeks. My company is doing a shut down in Aug,so if I go back before I will have to use my vaction time and I want to save it.

My three
Why do you DIS? Started out as trip planning, found the BB, and made some friends. I miss some of them still :guilty: and I like the comraderie I've found here.
What is your favorite Disney ride? MK Splash Mountain, Epcot The Land, MGM Tower of Terror, Animal Kingdom Kali River Rapids.
What would be your ideal car? Real - 68 convertible Mustang cherry red with black roof and black leather interior. Imagination - a little speedster that was solar fueled and recharged as you drove it and went at least 60-75MPH to keep up with highway traffic.

Shhhh, I ran out at lunchtime and started my Christmas shopping  I picked up:

For my 2 kids:
Rock Band for the Wii
Dance Dance Revolution for the Wii
3 clearanced Wii games ($8 each)

and a Strawberry Shortcake dance mat you connect to the TV for my niece for $8.

I figured we had the "extra" money this month and the items I wanted were in stock so I may as well get them now vs. trying to find them closer to Christmas.

Wow, IAHD! You did good with the bargains!! Also the savvy bargain hunter....! :thumbsup2

Madd....how is your back holding up today? I hope you are feeling much better this morning. :goodvibes

HI everyone...I have never been to a chat before:lovestruc
hmmmmm...do I get a free gift:lmao: ya know, like at a tupperware party:confused3 comeon....I like free stuff:rotfl2:

Glad you finally made it over Flaky!!!!

Hmmmmm, posting naughty wench pictures and NOW your back goes out :confused3 :rolleyes1

As the famous lyracist Vanilla Ice sang......Ice, Ice, baby  With my back Ice became my BFF. Whenever I have a flare up I start icing immediately and can usually prevent a full blown can't stand up straight back issue. I hope it starts feeling better quickly! There are few pains that totally suck - back & toothache are two that seem to be all consuming and you cannot function when you are going through it. :guilty: How is your mattress and couch? If it (the mattress) doesn't have enough support it could be contributing to your back issue and if the couch is squishy vs. firmer it could also be harming not helping you. I really took a look at everything from office chair at work, posture, shoes I wear, to the furniture in my house and KNOW which things are just asking for trouble with my back.

I am at the point of either laying flat or standing up- no in between. I will try the ice. I used heat in the past only b/c it felt comfortable. I am taking 800mgs of Motrin 3x a day and 325 mg percocets every 6 hours just until I get over the hump. I called the Univ of Penn to make an appt for the shot. The fellow that was working with the doc has to call me back to let me know if they need to do a consult before the shot since it has been 5 months since I saw the doc. And they told me - no sedation in the office!!!:scared1: I will pop a few ativan and have DH drive me.

Kellie good luck!!!!! I hope after this- you can be rid of all of this craziness!

OMG Freaps- guess what I got in the mail today???

Remember that Pagan goodie bag from a year ago that caused all kinds of who ha on the freebie board???

I got it finally:rotfl2:

There were a few samples from different Pagan companies- I got a little leaf shaped soap sample, a stone/crystal thing, bath salts, a little candle, cone incense, something called Witch Dust (some powdery nice smelling stuff) and a piece of candy!:flower3:

There were also some coupons for % off or BOGO from other Pagan companies. It was pretty nice!

WOW talk about slow mail:lmao:
But you may not want to try the candy. :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Kellie: I'll be thinking about you tomorrow and saying a prayer for you!

WOW talk about slow mail:lmao:
But you may not want to try the candy. :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

:lmao: I sniffed it, then put it in my mouth- it was OK- but I hate hard peppermint candies, so I tossed it:rotfl2:

Hey Flaky- I can wrap it back up and send it to you as an initiation into the Freap Chat thread :rotfl2: You asked for something free.:lmao:

Oh man, I forgot about the pagan goodie bag. Hope my comes today as well.:hippie: Lots of freapin to catch up on here. Madd-so sorry your back is out of whack again. Must be those late nights with JD....:rolleyes1 Kellie-good luck tomorrow. mtblujeans-sorry your week has been crummy so far but good new on the son that's a male model. How does your DH feel about THAT?:rotfl2:

I have been crazy busy today. Got my garden weeded, picked the three million zuchinni and cucumbers that were ready, and cut back my basil. I just threw it in the cuisinart with a little olive oil and made basil ice cubes to use in the winter for pasta sauce, etc. Then I picked about two pounds of blackberries. We're getting closer to our goal of 20 pounds to make wine. I think we have about 15.:cool1: Oh, I also washed a couple loads of clothes and hung them on the line:laundy: and finally folded the three loads that have been lying on the couch for two days.:sad2:

On to the questions I've missed-

1. What is your favorite beverage? beer & wine

2. What's your favorite color? yellow

3. What do you refuse to pinch pennies on? good beer and wine

Why do you Dis? It started as trip planning but now I'm addicted to freebies and I love my FREAPS!!!!:grouphug:

What is your favorite Disney ride? Definately Splash Mountain

What would be your ideal car? I agree with whoever said a huge car with great mileage PLUS 4 wheel drive for our steep hill. If money or price of gas was no object, I'd like a Subaru or one of those AWD Volvo wagons.

Ok, Marna, listening to your day has exhausted me! :rotfl: I need to get off my back side and weed my tiny strawberry patch....and that will be a miracle when it gets done! :confused3

I talked to DH last night and he was happy with DS and his "modeling opportunity". I think he feels bad about how terrible he was around here before he left. All 3 of the guys have been moody.....I think they are all 3 trying to get too much done before school starts again. DS told me he felt his dad was having a male "time of the month" and it was scary. I tell you....men really do go through some kind of phase as they get older. :guilty:

DS and I have been talking about what to do for his senior yearbook picture. Older DS recommended we dress him up as a 1930's pilot and have him pose beside a small plane at the airport to have pics taken. DS actually likes that idea! Now, we need to find some clothes that fit the era.

Older DS said he knew a kid that posed with a snake wrapped around his neck for his senior photos. I asked him if the school let him put those photos in the yearbook and he said he didn't know....but he had seen the pictures and they were....interesting. :rolleyes1

Thanks Marna - after ICING my back (thanks IAHD! ) 1600mgs of Motrin and 650 mgs of percocets in my system my pain is finally dulling:rotfl2:

Let me ask you about your basil- Mine are getting huge! I want to trim them back b/c there aree some little babies coming up underneath! I have to give them room! I was just telling mom yesterday about the herb ice cubes I get at Trader Joes! When you make pesto- do you just blend up the stems and leaves too:confused3 and Is that what you did for your cubes, you added the stems??

You should see my mint! I have pineapple, chocolate and apple mint! They are growing like crazy! The apple mint are growing "legs" right onto the driveway:scared1: :rotfl2: And those suckers are hard as a branch! We just got our driveway blacktopped and I am afraid the darn things are going to tear it up!

So Marna, or anyone else!- any recipes (besides Mojitos! :thumbsup2 ) we can use for all of the mint??

OH- ITA men have PMS! DH just started about 2 years ago when he turned 40! I have to remind him he is being a butthead and he snaps out of it:rotfl2:

And MtBlu guess what!? I love the 1930's idea. For the past hour I have been listening to a station on Live 365 called Absinthe Radio! it is music from the 20's and 30', speakeasy era! I know- who would have thought I would be into that:lmao: I get in some strange moods! I think that may have been yet another past life for me!

But I think that pilot idea is great! Or do an Adventurer's Club/Ernest Hemmingway kind of Safari look!- how handsome!:lovestruc

We better see pics!!!!:cool1:

Hi. We just adopted an 8-week old blue point siamese from the GA SPCA yesterday - now what do we name him? He has the brightest, lightest blue eyes ever and he's just gorgeous with the creamy body and blue/gray tips. Very feisty and fearless. His 7 month old "brother" is Toulouse, so Berlioze came to mind, but I really don't like that name...:confused3

Maybe OT - but did you know that you can now buy Absinthe with real wormwood in it in the states? It's expensive, but very cool! Remember when they were drinking that in Dracula? :thumbsup2

Madd-when you cut your basil it's best to cut right above where the two leaves are sprouting. That will make it "bush" out more. The more you cut the bushier and faster it grows. I love basil! When I make my cubes and the pesto I usually just tear the leaves off the stem. Some of the smaller ones may get thrown in but I try not to use the big ones.:confused3 If you freeze pesto, I usually freeze it in about 1/2 cup jars and pour a layer of olive oil on top that keeps it from turning brown. For mint you can also make a mint pesto but the only thing I can think of that it is good with is lamb SORRY! Mojitos are yummy and if you like bourbon you can always make mint juleps. I also put mint in my tabouleh. I could live on that stuff in the summer.

I know they just started selling it here in the states about a year ago, there are only a few brands so far.

I bought mine on the internet from Europe and the shipping charges were crazy! I still beleive the brands in Europe are much better than those sold here in the States. Maybe in time- people will demand a better product. I drink mine sparingly b/c of the cost.

Well do you remember what other movie Absinthe was featured in????? Of course it is a Mr Depp movie.

From He!!!
