FYI- Lowes has their home accent stuff 75% off. I got an ottoman with storage lid for $12.00..... I got 2 sets of 5 piece TV trays (cherry looking wood) for $17.00 each set. Im telling you we walked out of there with $400 worth of stuff and only paid $67.00 (What the ottoman would have cost us). We also got an awesome fruit stand with three baskets, a fruit tray, 2 other baskets and a few other things. Its definitely worth going and looking at.

Its marked 50% at our lowes-- however at the register its more like 75%+.

ETA: im going back to get more ottomans.... DH and i are in awe of how much this stuff is marked down to!

Okay I went back and got 2 more ottomans, a ladder bookshelf, and a really cute tea/coffee/sugar display for the kitchen in the new house. The ladder bookshelf thing was only $22 and its tall and really nice. Thats the most I paid for anything there today. I got so much stuff. We paid $100 for $400 worth of really nice home decor stuff!!

hey everyone,
Well I have now come down with what ever is going around. DH is still sick but not as bad as he was or thinks he still is. I have most of the people who work for me out so I still have to work. I told my boss if anyone shows up in the am for me I will be going home. Then to make it even better I was lying on the couch and his MOTHER of all MOTHERS shows up. She drives me nuts when I am not sick .

Oh goodness, I hope you get to feeling better. Go lay on the couch and pop you in a good movie (a real tear jerker) and veg out!! It might just make you feel better! I hate it for you that your MIL came over. For most thats enough to make just about anyone want to hurl! haha (Im pretty lucky in that dept though)

Sorry you are feeling bad. My DH was home sick for a week!!! I'm so glad he finally went back to work so we could get back to our normal routine. I can't imagine being sick for a week. Heck even after giving birth to DS I was begging the hospital to let me go home the next day. They finally gave in to my pleading becasue I think they thought I was nuts.

DH caught a terrible cold when we went to Disneyland! He has been sick for a couple of weeks: the first week sick with bad head cold, fever, chills, no energy, sleeping all day....the second week spitting up stuff, from sinus drainage, all over the place! Is that what is going around in your direction? Drink lots of fluid and get lots of rest...it is sooo no fun to be sick!

Thanks for all the well wishes. I am still felling blah. DH I think is doing better.His mother left last night fairly fast since I as she said was being rude and not offering to make her something to eat. What a sweet lady

Cassi- When you walk in its right there near the garden center but still inside the main building! I went to 2 different Lowe's, and then DH went to the one in the town he works in today... only one of the three Lowe's had much of anything-- and i practically raided it! Its so worth it though! The brand all of the stuff is under is called "Style Selections" and the boxes are a yellowish taupe color. I love my ottoman! I got one of them out last night. We said we wouldn't open the stuff up or get it out until we got settled in the new house but I couldn't resist. Here are some things I got...

Here are what the boxes look like- inside is the ottoman and its super nice. Was $49.80, rang up $12.50 (at that price i bought 3)

Canister set. Originally $19.98 rang up $5.00

5 piece TV table set originally $68.00 rang up $17.00 (we bought 2 sets- it was a steal!)

Bamboo Fruit Tray originally $9.98 rang up $2.50

Woven Basket originally $12.98 rang up $3.25 (I bought two-- that was all they had)

Metal wire three tier basket originally $24.98 rang up $6.25

I also got a white ladder folding bookshelf it was originally $88.00 and I got it for $22. I love it! Its in the garage though and in the box so i didn't take a photo.

Its definitely worth checking out!!

Where are all the FREAPS today? I'm missing everyone and having a crappy day fighting with my DH over our tax rebate money we haven't even got yet. Who would have thought that FREE money(yes, I realize it's not actually "free") could cause so many problems?

sorry Marna you are fighting with DH about the rebate check. I do not plan on spending that money even if we get it. I do not trust them that some how some way they are going to get it back from me

I dread actually "moving" it all. Luckily the new house is about 1 mile away so it wont be too bad. We are mainly in boxes right now and as I get things they go directly into boxes. Im so ready for all of this to be over with!! LOL.... maybe ill get excited when I finally get to unpack my boxes and see all the goodies I have.

That reminds me of my last move...it was only one house over from where we were! So we went down to Lowes and borrowed a flat bed cart and proceeded to roll items up and down the street! I would also put my son in his car seat with a movie playing and load up the back of my van, put it in reverse and back down the street into the new driveway, unload and then repeat the process over and over until my son couldn't stand it anymore! Then of course I'd do it again the next day! We had a whole month to move it so it wasn't too stressful, but it certainly was a lot more work than calling movers! Luckily, we were friends with our neighbors and they actually let us tromp across their lawn when neccessary!
