here is one for you guys. DD how is at coolege just called to let us know that her and her buddies are looking at apartments. They sent us emails of the apartment. I let her know that some thing was missing for the photos. She asked what I told her the safe full of money to pay for it . DH mother got her on this kick and now tell DH she is not so sure she wants to pay DD share anymore. THe women drives me nuts. Now she wants us to tell her. I say no she started this she can finish it.

That reminds me of my last move...it was only one house over from where we were! So we went down to Lowes and borrowed a flat bed cart and proceeded to roll items up and down the street! I would also put my son in his car seat with a movie playing and load up the back of my van, put it in reverse and back down the street into the new driveway, unload and then repeat the process over and over until my son couldn't stand it anymore! Then of course I'd do it again the next day! We had a whole month to move it so it wasn't too stressful, but it certainly was a lot more work than calling movers! Luckily, we were friends with our neighbors and they actually let us tromp across their lawn when neccessary!

My parents moved across the street a couple years ago. LOL so i can somewhat visualize what you are saying.... minus the entire movie in the van thing. Id like to see that though. Would be cool to see in fast forward- lol. Forward, backward, forward backward. LOL

I missed freapin' today!

Crazy day at work today- I always work from home and go to the office once a week to drop off and pick up work. Well today- they were 3 people short! I walk in the office and it was like the place was abandon! My boss looked FRAZZLED! I said- I will stay and help! So I was there all day unexpectedly helping out. Did not get home until about 5:30- I am leaving in about a half hour to meet up with friends TO HAVE DRINKS ....ETC...ETC! Ugh! I can't wait to unwind- I am not used to being frazzled after a day of work- it is always very peaceful working from home! Just shut down the computer and walk upstairs- and I call it a day!

I sure do not miss the "office atmosphere" that is for sure!

I HATE working at an office!! I am not a people person I always talk back to the boss, I like to have drinks with lunch, and I get my work done before it is due....I just don't fit in!

Okay I have a ?. DD Shaunna just called us from college and said she heard one of the girls she went to high school was out jogging and was kidnapped and killed in Italy. I have not heard any about a us girl being killed there. Has anyone heard any thing on this. Shaunna is flipping out I hope it is wrong

I did a Google search and found a girl kidnapped in Italy, Texas (second post)....do you think that might it? It was last April, though.

No I donot think so. Her name is karen and she would be 21-22 years old. I hope she is just hear a bad rumor

I agree with you. Maybe we will hear something over the weekend. News like that would travel faster among the kids. We'll see what surfaces by Monday.

Her boyfriend's little sister goes to the high school and they came over the loud speaker at school and told the school. But I still cannot find any thing out. The other moms I have spoken to are as lost as me.

Do you have the phone number of one of the teachers at the school that you might call them this weekend and confirm rather than wait until next week to get more info?

The high school she went to is a priv ateCatholic school so they have done this in the past when she was there so it is not uncommon for them to do things this way

What do you do from home....if you don't mind me asking?

I have been working for the same company, owner, for 12 years now.

For 9 years I worked in the office doing medical billing and collections. It was 10 minutes from my home. The owner, then, sold that business and opened up a diagnostic facility that was about 45 minutes from my home. So- with my boss being so generous- she talked the owner into setting me and another girl up in our homes so we can continue to work for him and not drive to the new facility.

The business has grown, we now have 2 facilities (the new one is about 1.5 hours from my home) and a sort of "hub-office" 15 minutes from my home where all the scheduling, billing and collections for the 2 facilities are done. I am connected remotely and still work from home doing all the payment postings, contacting patient's and attorneys for both facilities.

Once a week I go to the "hub" and drop off my work and pick up all the new deposits to post and mail that needs to be worked on.

Working from home is OK- I never take a lunch and do not stop working to have conversations with co-workers- so, I will Dis for a while here and there. I am never backed up on my work- and now with the 2nd facility opening- I will soon be swamped!

I really do not miss the office atmosphere- with the drama and the people talking all the time. I like to listen to Stern or the radio while working and it is very peaceful! I am certain I get more work done working from home- than in the office.

?????? I received a freebie int he mail a few days ago and I have no idea what it is or where it came from- maybe some of your freaps rcvd the same thing and can help me out

It is a very small neoprene material tube shaped... thing. It looks like it can fit on your finger.

It is blue with blue and yellow flowers and on one side it says Fast- and the other side it says, Heal..and it has a black clip on it???

Did anyone else get one? It came in a small brown envelope with no name of a company on it- just, I think, a PO box as a return address.

Just curious what to do with it

WHY did I order this thing?....
