Oh yeah, and down here they FLY!!! I have gotten used to them, I guess, now I only scream loud enough for half the neighborhood to hear. DH yells pretty loud when he spots one, too..

OH DEAR GOD!!!!!

DH just yelled at me to stop screaming b/c he is trying to watch TV! I said but it is GROSS, he said, THEN STOP LOOKING AT IT!

UGH! My belly feels SICK! I HATE bugs!

........well, not lady bugs b/c they are cute. and so are butterflys, and I save earthworms from the cement after the rain so they do not shrivel up and die.......and those really fuzzy bumble bees are cute, they do not scare me..... and I DO catch moths in my hands if they are in my house to set them free.....

But I hate all other bugs!

uh-oh- bug story!.......DH and I lived in St John USVI for 5 months 13 years ago. They had cockroaches! Oh- sorry, they call them PALMETTO BUGS! NO they are COCKROACHES! anywho! UGH- they must have always came up through the shower drain or something, b/c when I would get in the shower in the morning, I would always find one in the bathroom! It got to the point that I would make DH wake up and check the bathroom before I would go in. He was NOT too happy about that! I would almost be in tears they freaked me out so bad.

WELL! One morning, I got in the shower, la-de-da, lathering up my hair and all of a sudden, I feel something on my leg! YES! you got it! A FREAKING COCKROACH- there! on my leg! IT WAS LIKE A HORROR MOVIE!! I wanted to DIE! all I could hear was the *psycho shower scene music* playing in my head- for the love of god! it was on my LEG!

After that I went to the hardware store and bought this spray, deadly to both bugs and humans (it had more warnings the back of that can than I have ever seen in my life!) and sprayed it down the drain all the time! Sure- it probably contaminated the entire island's water supply- which was pretty much nill anyway! But it kept the cockroaches, oh, excuse me palmetto BUGS at bay!

I actually "freeze up" when I see creepy bugs now!

So I return from the mouse, all bummed out, and have lots of FREAP chat reading to catch up. . .so is this all I missed?:
1. People being people, and not understanding the philosophy of discussion boards being, um, to discuss. Why?
2. Happy anniversary Maggie, and congrats on selling the house. My dad got word in WDW that his mom's house sold, after being on the market in NJ since April. Must be a good house selling month
3. The return of DB and his really cute daughter
4. What's this snowballing about?
5. Bugs, argh, bugs!!!!!BUGS!!!!!! Just as the mickey mouse pixie dust had me all nice and calm again. . .leave it to the FREAPs to tip me over the edge (to drinking that Sam Adams we brought back with us from the world.

Our trip was great, hot hot hot there until Thursday night. My brother and DS got dream fast passes. Someone noticed our DIS Mickey head tie-dye and asked my DH, do you get on the DIS boards?, to which he replied, yes my wife does to the point of ignoring me. We did the Xmas party, and my DS4 and DD2 stayed up until midnight and were not too cranky!!!! I did a backstage tour with my mom and was 5 feet away from a rhino. We survived 14 hours in the car each way with 2 kids. How's that for an abbreviated trip report?!?!?

You mean to tell me that those creepy guys, and your slasher movies, and all that creepy stuff are fun to you, but bugs scare the holy you-know-what outta you? Madd, I never figured you for a princess...


Don't get too excited everyone...the "Palmetto bugs" we have down here in the south aren't nearly that big..I grabbed this big ole boy from Photobucket, and I think it's one of those Madagascar Hissing Cockroaches that people keep as pets...((shudder))...But we do get ones that are about 1-1/2 inches long..and yes, they do fly.....

Out of all the people on this thread, madd, you were my last thought of someone screaming at their computer screen..you are a riot,my dear!!

Now, a stupid question. I'm filling a new salt and pepper shaker and I don't know which is which? Which one has more holes, salt or pepper?
