Bookgirl, Wes is watching sign time right now, and he loves it- they are doing signs that he knows today, so he is sitting in front if the TV doing the signs with the kids!! CUTE! I set the DVR to record it every day! TY!

YEA! I saw Fridays as well and it's from when the kids were really little. They're probabaly 7 and 8 in the ones I had saw before. I use to use sign language in my class so I left it on and was seeing how many I remembered. I forgot ball and dog.

HI friends,

DS's school let out at 12 noon and God forbid anyone or anything that was on the road in my way.

We headed straight back to the ranch. It only took us 2.5 hours to get home! DH said we must have been flying...yup

I hit the drive of our ranch and I was at peace. So much that I was immediately exhausted. DH left work early, came home, fed us dinner and I went to sleep. I slept for 11 hours I haven't slept in the city because of the noise. It felt so good and I feel like a new person today.

I got a coupon for a free gallon of paint, a 2008 planner and I did an exchange for a YOMD lanyard. My pins from Ebay were here also.

I have played with my old siamese kittens, looked at the new kittens and I am going to groom and ride my horses today! DH went out goose hunting this morning but did see anything.

It is sooo good to be home.

For those of you who have been chosen or have had house parties in the past...is there something that you do to sound extra interesting or worthy to hold the party? I registered for the pink plaid and the cranium, but haven't heard yet...I think we find out later in the month on both of those... BUT in the mean time I was just wondering if there might be something I could have said or done differently??? Is there a secret to being chosen???

Hi Freaps - I received the Dunkin Donuts coffee, coupon for gallon of paint, coupon for a can of Pedigree dog food and a receipe and DVD from Cooking Light. AND a hospital bill for $2000 So my freebies eased the pain a little.

I've registered for a couple of parties and haven't been chosen I guess it just depends on what their looking for. Keep trying.

1st I think time is of the essence with the house parties. If you do not jump on them, then I think people get in 1st and you don't have a shot in heck to be a finalist. Once you get the finalist email again you need to respond ASAP to get in under the gun again. I check my email several times a day so we get in pretty quick on the response. The only other thing I do is make it sound bigger than it really is. With the Friday Nights party I pumped up how big Football is in this house - DH & DS don't miss a Pats game. I will watch FNL but not a Sunday game.

I forgot I ordered the condom for my husband. When I got home today, he was sort of freaked out because he didn't know where it came from. I was laughing. He started laughing when he found out where it came from.

I had been going through a freebie drought. But this past week & weekend that was broken. Received the Ziploc steamer bag, Dunkin Donuts Coffee sample, the Pur Water bottle (love it!) and the Chocolate Chex Cereal from Wal-Mart. Seems like I received something else that I can't remember.

I think I convinced my DH that we are FREAPS this weekend. This is what it took tho: Attending a Devil Rays Baseball game with tix provided by his company (came with food and parking too) a few weekends ago; they have this agreement with a local furniture store that if the Rays strike out 10 or more opponent players those attending can show their tix and get a certificate for a free pizza from Papa Johns. So yesterday took the tix to furniture store and they gave me 4 free pizza certificates. We used two last night. So free baseball game, free food, free parking, free pizza -- yep, we're FREAPS. Plus, we had this discussion coming home from CVS with $28 worth of stuff we paid $3 for.

I know where you're talking. Imagine getting a Morehead Mom sweatshirt for Christmas.....yep, I did. My stepson went there a couple years. I wore that once out down here and NEVER again.

I am in Louisville, and stopped in Morehead for gas. . .and the sign actually said "Welcome Back Students" and then underneath "Kegs". So of course my husband started elbowing me and snickering, saying "heh, I wonder if the kegs influenced the name" He's a moron, but I'll keep him. And to weigh in on the toboggan thing (I know I'm getting in late, but I had far too many pages to catch up on!!!)- in Dayton they are toboggans, as in Louisville. But in Washington DC, toboggans were sleds. So yep, I believe it is a midwest/southern thing.
