FREAP CHAT ~ Everyone Welcome!

I just got an invite to a new campaign for

Chapstick!

I didn't see this one but I did sign up for the whitening strips one.

Madd-I can understand obsessing over JD, but MR. CREEPY DUDE????!!!!!!!!!
:scared1: I think I might even be offended by him.:guilty:

For the record, I redeemed one of the PP coupons at Walmart last night. They did not want to do it and gave the reason "We don't take copied coupons." I asked for the manager to look at it and she said "Yep. That's fine." I still have several more to use since I'm a greedy FREAP. I haven't tried my gigantic kmart ones though.

I didn't want to try the BIG KMart one so I gave it to my mom. I really don't need all that candy anyway and since we don't get trick-or-treaters where I live. I live down a dirt road in the middle on nowhere!:rotfl:

Javaonline, if you came over here...so did I. Yes, you would like to keep Greenville a secret from the Yankees. They come down to the beautiful south and proceed to tell y'all how backwards you are and how much better/different things are up north. We learned very quickly how lucky we were to have found the south. We are Damn Yankees..the ones who stayed. :rotfl:

Savannah's humidity took a lot of getting used to, but well worth it.

I miss the Rubber Duck Derby....

I think the weird looking thing you wanted from Spirit is the creepy dude she was talking about it. Because that really is creepy. I too would have nightmares with that thing in my house. But then I'm a scaredy cat anyway.

Yes!!Yes!! Give that girl a lollipop!!! That would be the Mr. Creepy Dude I was referring to!!! I didn't even see your new JD pic, Madd, until you mentioned it.
Thanks for the hug though.

Just letting you all know that I went to TRU today with my $5.00 off coupon for any Polly Pocket toy. (actually it's UP to $5.00 off). They had the PP Stylin' Stuff Wipe-Off Activity Set on clearance for $3.49. I had to pay the tax so I got it for .22! I got one and DH got one. 2 more small christmas gifts done. They are really cute little purses that snap close and have a lot of actvities inside them. I considered this my big bargain of the week! Along with the 2 razors and handcream (travel size) that came in the mail today! :cool1:

I got the SAME purse thing and plan on using it this weekend for my DD's little friend at school who is having a party on Sat. I also found a PP Spin & Style drawing thing at Walmart on clearance for $5 (Free with coupon) and another little notebook thing at Walmart (a different WM) that was priced at $3.49 so that was free too! I had my family members all print out the coupon for me so we are stocking up to use them for other birthday parties - kids are K & 1st grade so perfect age!

I was able to print off as many as I wanted..I even have it bookmarked so I can replenish as needed....

*evil laugh* I am a proud Yankee that will most likey be moving south in a few years!

I think I might look into the GREENVILLE area! Thanks for the tip! HA HA HA!

I was thinking when we do move- to have my license plates read: YANKEE or YANK- do you think that would be too forward:confused3 but then again- that would probably be EXACTLY what they would expect from us Yanks!:snooty:

Greenville, is a very nice area...right at the foothills of the smoky mountains. It get cold in the winter, (not biting miserable cold like you're used to) and snow about every other winter..a couple of inches..and an ice storm about every other winter. (I'm pming you with some other details)

They have lots of things going on, and a beautiful downtown area. Small town feel, Southern Charm, and cosmopolitan at the same time. But why doncha just slide on down a little further south to the gray area where I live...I got the beach, and also 4 seasons...Cool(winter), hot(Spring), DAMN HOT(Summer) and nice(fall). Oh yeah, and 5 hours from WDW...:cool1:

I don't know if "YANK" will get through the censor system of license plates..;)

you would need DAMYANK... Yankees come down and go back north, DAMN Yankees stay..

Nope, sorry...it's a 1997 Heritage Springer. He sold that now he has a 2003 Road King Classic....are you psychic????

This is the Beartooth Highway in Montana-it goes from the Northeast Entrance of Yellowstone(actually starts farther away, but same road)and goes up to Livingston. (the only road)The part that goes through the Beartooth pass is called the Beartooth Highway. It is closed from first snowfall, usually in October and reopens a couple of weeks after Memorial day, depending on how much snow is left. This pic was taken the first week it was reopened in June 1997, and the snow next to the bike shows actually how deep it got. They use machines to cut through the snow, and you can see the very, very, long sticks pointing out of the snow to show them where the road is!! Charles Kuralt (although not on a motorcycle) claimed it as one of the most beautiful roads in the country. It is breathtaking, both in beauty and scariness..We have been there in August and been able to pull of the road and let the boys play in the snow. In their shorts...

I just got from the Macy's registry freebie a Mikasa glass picture frame and an Oneida cake server. All products are very good quality. I can't wait for the others. I missed on the Nautica bathrobes. I sent it in before I did the Macy's registry & never got them. Oh well. The Macy's stuff is awesome. :hippie:

I got a present for you....

hrh! BHAAAAAA! Are you teasing me! I can't see your pic.

And the pic of your DHs cycle is awesome! Sounds like fun! My BIL has a Heritage Softail- My DH the Road King Classic (2001). I thought the bike in the pic was a Road King b/c the bags look like the soft bags on the Road King.

No matter what- IT'S A HARLEY!:cool1:

We have a huge run Nov 4th in Philly. It's the Toys for Tots run. We have been going since we got the bike in 2001. Actually we used to go and SEE all the bikes even before we got one- so we are always excited to do the run.

There are THOUSANDS of bikes taking toys to Children's Hospital of PA. It is heart wrenching to walk in and drop your toys off and they have some of the kids in the lobby thanking you! I have gone with a few people in the past who walk out balling their eyes out.

It just feels good to have that many bikers doing good b/c most of the time- we get "the shifty eye" from pea brains who do not have a clue that bikers are nicer than "real people":lmao: I have a sticker on my helmet that reads "Bikers have more fun than real people do":thumbsup2 Oh- I wold love to post some of the other ones I have but I can be banned from the DIS for life if I posted them:lmao

Actually even the Warlocks and Pagans "show up" for this run! Granted- the cops are right on top of them from the miunte they get there- and to tell you the truth:scratchin - I am not sure if they ever GET to DO the run b/c I think the cops make them leave:lmao: They specifically say- NO COLORS can be worn for the run- but of course, what would you want to see the Pagans or Warlocks in BESIDES their colors!?:confused3

I wonder if they would give me a pop in the head if I asked one of them if I can have a pic with them! I am just fascianted by them! Must be the "bad girl" in me! Some of them come into DHs shop to get their bikes inspected. I always ask DH- "so! :hyper: did you talk to them?"

One year at the run- I was walking on the sidewalk- minding my own business:rolleyes1 la-de-da (that is eactly what I was doing- whistling while saying la-de-da:laughing: )- anywho! I saw 2 of the "guys" ....."talking":confused3 Ok- so they are "talking" I am wondering why I am the only one on the sidewalk (and where the heck is the rest of my peeps:laughing: they left me to walk alone!)- UNTIL a police officer told me "it might be best if you walked across the street":lmao: I think they may have been having "words" and the cop was there to see nothing got out of control....and you got me, clueless, watching the guys like they are on display, right in the middle of it all :headache: :rotfl2:

Oh- that is a good idea- tell me some of the stickers (that are OKAYYYYYYY to post here) that are on your DH's helmet!
YOU TOO HADLEY!

I just got a new helemt- and I have ZIP stickers on it! I love ALL of my stickers on my old helmet so I keep wearing that one until I can order the same sticks for the new one!:headache:

I love the childrens toy run and it is so good to see that poeopl know that not all bikers are big ol dirt bags!! My FIL rides with a big 5 ft teddy bear on the back of his bike and has been for the past 20+ years.(He didn't take the biker pill) I'll tell you this much there is not many times you'll see "the two gangs" being that close but this is one time when I think they do whithout bringin dramma.

Bikers are people too!
some just smell better then others!

:lmao: I take my daily shower. :lmao:

It is incredible just to see the people who come and support the bikers at these things! They are lined up along the streets, you see them up on the overpasses along the route waving! Everyone brings their kids to see the run!

The only people (I may have said this before) that get a bit PO'd are those waiting in traffic b/c the police stop ANY and ALL traffic! Part of our route is Rt 95! That is a MAJOR highway! You should see the traffic havoc- people end up just sitting outside of their cars and watching b/c it takes soooooo long for all the bikes to pass.

You know that some of the people are just passing through the city taking 95 and they are probably thinking- WHAT THE HECK! I just wanna get on my way!:lmao:

Hey Tinker- does your FIL do the run- is he also in PA with you???

Cassi-- did you get your computer and modem back up working? Havent seen or heard of you in a while!:flower3:

every year! It is sure something to see! his name is mountain Bill. He has been doing it for years and years.

Savannah's humidity took a lot of getting used to, but well worth it.

hrh- I forgot to mention:headache: I have been to Savannah before and LOVED it- we were only there for a day and a half on our way to Charleston SC- I want to go back so bad- but DH needs to relax on some island for his vacation:guilty:

I want to go back this time for at LEAST 5 days to see everything!

To be honest- Charleston had NOTHING on Savannah- I would not go back to Charleston- we stayed in the Battery (Battery Carriage House)- that part was nice b/c we were right on the water and it was more quiet down that end. I do love the history of Charleston.

I can't remember the name of the Inn we stayed at in Savannah and can you believe we did NOT even get a chance to see Bonaventure! WHO goes to Savannah and does not visit THEEEEE cemetery- especially me, the one who when she makes ressies for B&Bs she asks the innkeeper if their place is haunted!:lmao: Forget it, if you do not have ghosts I will not be a guest! Now I do my ghost researching on line before making ressies!:rotfl2:

I remember not being far from a place that had to do with Jim Williams- BUT it was not the Mercer House. Did he have another home or building? I may be mistaken. It has been a few years.

also- we have driven to Disney about 4 times in the past (never again!)- and each and every time- we have to visit the Savannah Harley dealership right off of 95! I have a few Harley Ts with your town's name across my back!:lmao:
