FREAP CHAT ~ Everyone Welcome!

Honestly, you guys with the screamin' babies for watching the Halloween links (on the freebie thread) have got me laughing so hard my eyes are watering! Am I twisted, or what? :sad2:

every year! It is sure something to see! his name is mountain Bill. He has been doing it for years and years.

Have you and the family ever went to see it all?

We usualy leave the house @ 8am- go and have breakfast at the Hyatt Regency @ Penns Landing- slurp down some mimosas (only the passengers- NOT the drivers!) and then it takes us about an hour or two to wander and look at all the bikes and make it to the front of the line where PIERRE ROBERT is! Do you know him- he is the BEST! He is the DJ for WMMR in Philly- I do not listen to terrestial radio anymore- but I HAVE to see PIERRE! My fellow vegetarian!:cool1: He is adorable! Sometimes he goes flying by everyone on the back of a golf cart.

And then by that time- we have to walk back to our bikes and get ready to take off!

And your Gov. Ed Rendell is there every single year- even way back when he was the mayor of the great city of Philadelphia! He was there at the front of the line waving as we all pass to start the run!

ITA! You have to "toughen" these kids up when they are young so they can appreciate a good scare when they get older! :thumbsup2

My niece is 5 and she is one big "fraidy cat"! You can't have any fun with the kid! :guilty: We couldn't even take her on the HM when we went to Disney! Heck, she was afraid to go on Buzz Lightyear- what are her parents teaching her!

If I had kids- I would start them when they are young to be Halloweenies and to love the "scarier" things in life!:rotfl2:

Maybe when I go out with them this Halloween I can put a little innocent scare into her......and then move on to bigger and better things as the night goes on!:yay:

hrh- I forgot to mention:headache: I have been to Savannah before and LOVED it- we were only there for a day and a half on our way to Charleston SC- I want to go back so bad- but DH needs to relax on some island for his vacation:guilty:

I want to go back this time for at LEAST 5 days to see everything!

To be honest- Charleston had NOTHING on Savannah- I would not go back to Charleston- we stayed in the Battery (Battery Carriage House)- that part was nice b/c we were right on the water and it was more quiet down that end. I do love the history of Charleston.

I can't remember the name of the Inn we stayed at in Savannah and can you believe we did NOT even get a chance to see Bonaventure! WHO goes to Savannah and does not visit THEEEEE cemetery- especially me, the one who when she makes ressies for B&Bs she asks the innkeeper if their place is haunted!:lmao: Forget it, if you do not have ghosts I will not be a guest! Now I do my ghost researching on line before making ressies!:rotfl2:

I remember not being far from a place that had to do with Jim Williams- BUT it was not the Mercer House. Did he have another home or building? I may be mistaken. It has been a few years.

also- we have driven to Disney about 4 times in the past (never again!)- and each and every time- we have to visit the Savannah Harley dealership right off of 95! I have a few Harley Ts with your town's name across my back!:lmao:

Bonaventure is a beautiful cemetary..I have driven through it, I have yet to take a walk through it and find some of the graves..Johnny Mercer is buried there, and a few others. The monuments and tombstones are so ornate..so funny about looking for a haunted B&B...EVERYTHING in Savannah is haunted!!

Some may have more activity that others..

Charleston is beautiful, too. Not a charming(t me) as Savannah. I don't know where Jim Williams lived other than the Mercer House. Did you happen to get to Lady Chablis club when you were here? As far as I know, she's still doing shows. We haven't had the pleasure yet.

I don't know WHAT happened to the image I posted for you yesterday. I t was there and now it's gone??/ Here it is again..hope you see it before it disappears again....

:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Way back on one of our first trips to WDW, my youngest DS was too small to ride on some of the rides. DH and older DS went to ride something and I guess there was a long line for it 'cause they were gone for quite awhile. I took DS to the HM and he was traumatized just standing in line! Once we got to the CMs at the door, I thought I was gonna' have to hold him in line by the back of his shirt...he wanted outta' there!

We got thru the stretching room and someone else's kid was screaming and they had to take him out of there by one of the exit doors. Of course, my DS was ready to leap out of his skin by then! :rotfl:

We got into the doombuggies and started the ride and he LOVED IT! After that, we must have come running out of there and back into line about 7 or 8 times! By the time DH got back I was practically begging him to save me! :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

I think the CM thought I really had a crush on him!

You must have too many good pictures being viewed and it is taxing your account's band width. :guilty:

:guilty: No still no pic!

And no we have not seen Lady Chablis either- I am telling you- I want to go back and spend some real time there- It is just SO beautiful!

We did take the trolly tour when you can jump on and off and different locations. But that is just a place that I need to take my time and see- in depth!

Even though it was only a day and half- I felt so "comfortable" there.

Hey- if any of you that love to listen to Halloween sounds/or music- Try Live 365 (LOVE that station if I am not listening to SIRIUS- you can find any type of music known to man there!)

Anyway- do a search of "Halloween" and they have a few stations playing Halloween sounds, music etc!

I had on the Hallows Gate 10/31 but the sound effects were distracting me when I would get a phone call.

Listening to New World Enigma right now.

D-ZAK plays Disney Halloween music!

Check it out.

OK, this missing picture thingy is driving me nuts.. You guys can't see it, but I can see it plain as day...even in your "quote" of me...

I don't understand, I'm posting too many pictures? According to the Dis, or photobucket? I can always find some stupid way to get myself into trouble...keep looking, maybe it will show up.

Oh- that is a good idea- tell me some of the stickers (that are OKAYYYYYYY to post here) that are on your DH's helmet!
YOU TOO HADLEY!

Here are a few of mine: Had to "edit" some of the words!:thumbsup2

Only in America, can a homeless war veteran sleep in a cardboard box......While a draft dodger sleeps in the White House

Friends come and go, but enemies accumulate

Some people are still alive only because it is against the law to kill them
............. (believe me, I have felt this way MANY time while riding the bike!)

I may be cruel and nasty but at least I'm good at it.

I'm not prejudice, I hate everybody

CAUTION: Does not play well with others.

Do I look like a "freaking" people person

All the happiness in the world can't buy you money

This bike is protected by KARMA securities

I see dumb people

The gene pool could use a little cholorine

You just don't get it, do you?

I am lost, I've gone to find myself, If I should return before I get back, PLEASE ASK ME TO WAIT.

Comfortably Numb

Heavily Sedated

In search of the eternal buzz

Too "messed" up for Prozac

Can't sleep, clowns will eat me!

Be reasonalble, do it my way

LOOK- my sticker says "crap" on it.

"Crap" better NOT happen

I'm not good with names, mind if I call you "crap"head

Of course, the ever famous........
Politically Incorrect and Morally Impaired

The happiest girl in the world
<<< :lmao: can ya tell! Actually I have that with my Ruby Gloom sticker
RubyGloom.gif

And to top it all off!!! I have a sticker that says......
I HATE stickers!

OMG! ETA! I forgot- I also have my lime green Mickey head and my Flyers stickers too!

Actually we CAN see it! We are just messing with your mind!

NO! I am just kidding! I still can't see it- not sure if anyone else can.

Can you just delete that one photo from your photobucket and then re-save it all over again- maybe that will work??

:lmao: :lmao: you are so thoughtful!! Are you trying to tell me something:confused3 :lmao:

I love it!

Love all the stickers Madd! And I just have to relay a story that might offend your delicate vegetarian sensibilities. I was at work Tues. night griping about my brilliant DH who decided that even though our fridge is still on the blink that we needed some meat! So I said "I'm so mad because______bought half a hog." The guy I was talking to said "OMG, that is soooo cool!" I was "Huh?":confused3 "How is buying part of a pig even remotely cool?":rotfl2: So now we have to work our butts off all weekend making bacon, sausage and hams to get it all in the freezer as quickly as possible.

Also have to differ from the crowd in that I like Charleston much better than Savannah. I do love both, but Charleston is more my type of thing. Granted, I've only been in Savannah a couple times and never spent the night, whereas we have stayed in B&B's in Charleston many times. I love the historic homes, sitting in a swing in the park next to the river, all the awesome restaurants, and especially the Market. Plus the pirate history and cemetaries there are pretty cool too. The best part is though that it is close to one of my favorite places in the world-Edisto Island. We are planning a camping trip for December at the state park there.

A favor to ask, it only takes a minute....

Please tell ten friends to tell ten today! (I am asking all you!) The Breast Cancer site is having trouble getting enough people to click on their site daily to meet their quota of donating at least one free mammogram a day to an underprivileged woman. It takes less than a minute to go to their site and click on 'donating a mammogram' for free (pink window in the middle).

This doesn't cost you a thing. Their corporate sponsors /advertisers use the
number of daily visits to donate mammogram in exchange for advertising.

Here's the web site! Pass it along to people you know.

AGAIN, PLEASE TELL 10 FRIENDS TO TELL 10 TODAY

...and now back to your scheduled conversation :flower3:

So my DD - 5 & in Kindergarten decided she wanted to be a FLAMINGO  for Halloween :headache: And not just any flamingo, it had to be the right color pink, the right this, the right that, let's just say there was a moment in the store when I threatened to take away trick or treating if she didn't stop being a PITA about the color and how I would achieve this freaking bird costume! Here is what we have so far....

IMG_1609.jpg

She has matching pink tights, pink sock type slippers for her legs & feet (might attach black fake fingernails to top of slippers for that nail look on the feet), and I am planning on painting her face pink, putting her hair in a single braid so it is flat on her head and spraying that pink. She also has a bird beak that attached with the elastic (like a kids clowns nose) that I have painted pink.

I will post pics after she dresses up! We are taking the kids trick or treating Sunday at Roger Williams Zoo in Providence and I can't wait to get a picture of her next to her favorite animal

That is GREAT! Most 5 year olds want to be a princess- and she wants to be the perfect color Flamingo!

That is awesome! I love it- :rotfl2:

I haven't spent too much time in the south but I would love to visit all the places you describe! Oddly, I was an AF brat and born in Mississippi. I must have spent a whole 8 months there or something! I love watching travel shows on PBS where they show all the haunted historical buildings, etc. - sigh -

IAHD, that is soooo cute! Yes, you have to post pics later! Talented people make me depressed!

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

It actually turned out to be fairly easy - top is a leotard I actually sprayed with hot pink hair spray (to match feathers) and let dry - color is suprisingly not running. Bottom is a play tutu with an elastic waist that I got. I purchased a ton of pink boa's from the Christmas Tree store for $1.29 each and sewed them to the waist band. I actually picked up another 6 boa's this afternoon to attach and make it "poofier" when it is on. The rest is just pulling it together. I do think my daughter will end up remaining pink for a few days AFTER Halloween though with all the spraying I have done

So glad DS6 wanted to be a football player ;) At least 1 of the 2 costumes was easy!
