He's also not shy about sharing exactly how to exploit it with the world. While I personally would like to see more than 3 Fastpass+ selections (4-5 would be nice) this abuse can't help but hurt those individuals who are still using the legacy Fastpass system.

I wonder if Tom Staggs saw this and immediately started doing a training montage Rock IV style, running up a mountain and screaming 'KENNY!!!!!' When he gets to the top of the mountain

Does anyone even remember limited time magic?? It's like they abandoned it.

It was still continued.

The "magic" was so "limited" that most of what was offered went unnoticed.

It's certainly not what it used to be. If you read the blogs, all the "limited time magic" is things that are normally in the parks everyday. No more magical experiences, at least for the holiday season. :)

I only WISH they had abandoned it.

Oh, I noticed. I'm heading to DLR next week. LTM for that week is a special showing of World of Color for AP holders. In order to carve out that special showing, they had to take away the one I intended to see.

Limited? How about "Disappearing Magic"?

I think you're absolutely right that Disney (or rather, someone at Disney) knew about this. It probably shook out pretty easily early during CM testing. They probably don't consider it a bug in their system because it's a normal time lag between a Data Acquisition System and a queuing software product that they didn't develop that is used in MDE.

I don't believe you're right that there has ever been a small likelihood of lots of people knowing about it, it's too easy for anyone who's in the parks a lot to try. I might have done it myself if I was there often enough to make the experimentation worth my time.

I think that if there is anyone at Disney that understands MDE & FP+ well enough to understand this loophole, they know the other limitations of the system and the early scheduling of any attractions worth having are going to make it inconsequential anyway. If any of them have read Kenny's blog they're probably groaning now about possibly having to put lots of effort into fixing it now just because a lot of a lot of angry people on a message board.

That KP was able to discover this system issue and point out what can be done if someone is willing to explore it is a good thing.

Since this is the new present and future system that will now impact all of our touring strategies at WDW for the forseeable future.....better to know now rather than later as the system continues to become even more taxed in ways that Disney hasn't even realized.

Anyone who has went on-line and moved around in the program can see that it is really unstable at times. Will it settle down as Disney works through the issues? Yeah, probably, but the phone app seems to be a totally different animal.

Except that Disney didn't bother telling Pop guests this was the case. Only Disers are aware.

Nothing like being a guinea pig after paying thousands of dollars.

I have mentioned this before but how about the off-site guests and day trippers that show up over the Holidays this year and find out that there are more than likely not any FP to be had for the headliner attractions despite the late move to tiering at Epcot Center and the Studios.

If Disney were really being honest with guests, they would put out a press release advising folks that due to the testing phase of a new way of obtaining fast passes for on-site guests that there is a good chance that other guests only alternative will be stand-by lines.

I haven't seen anyone reporting lack of FP other than with Toy Story Midway Mania and maybe Soarin'.

And anyone that follow park strategies knows that for years these two have run out and quickly. Nothing new there, esp with TSMM.

Judging by the fact that it is NOT this way speaks volumes of the INTENT
of Disney to attempt to more readily control the way guests obtain their FP+ appointments for attractions.

The way it spits out the suggested best plan for us when we make our requests is so sad. The control things (thou shall not leave property for anything is the single biggest issue I have with Disney) have been driving me crazy for quite sometime.

Then when I go into the system to book the attractions......I get their best time for me, aaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!
