FP+ Work Around, how to get more FP in a day thread?

I read through Kenny's guide, and honestly it looks like waaaay too much work for me.

I think I'm happy enough just muddling through with my 3 FP+, even if two of the ones I picked for HS are utterly useless. This is why we go during (relatively) quiet times! :thumbsup2

I'm confident we'll get to ride everything we want to ride, and still have time to stop and watch the street performers, and that's good enough for me.

This is exactly what I'm thinking! Way too much tapping on the phone to be worth it.

What KTP did is in the fine tradition of what computer guys have done for decades now, ala Barnaby Jack. You get in there and try to find loopholes and flaws in the system of others. It's how systems improve. It's very similar to scientists having their work peer reviewed. Great job finding this Kenny.

Personally, I probably won't use it because I'll be fine with park open and the fastpasses I have scheduled.

Yeesh, not only is that a lot of work, but it's also a lot of battery power you'll be using having the app going constantly.

Also, it appears that the app itself even in it's normal use is a gigantic PITA. All the clicking and changing and prioritizing and what not. Thank God my husband is an IT professional. Somebody needs to be fired.

It should simply be a list of attractions. Click the one you want and you get a list of all available times. Pick one....BOOM. Done.

Lather rinse repeat. Everything else is absolute BLOAT.

I do fear that Kenny The Pirate may become Kenny The Permabanned From WDW. They'll have his face posted at the entrances as "persona non grata".

It wore me out. Your suggestion would be a huge improvement.

Judging by the fact that it is NOT this way speaks volumes of the INTENT
of Disney to attempt to more readily control the way guests obtain their FP+ appointments for attractions.

Sadly, it does.

You know grumpy pants is right. Don't be so grumpy :)

Here's the problem it's human nature to "cheat" when you feel cheated. Some people will always cheat, but disboard has been looking for away around fp+ which they feel cheated by.

Not a justification, but everyone has a sell out, breakdown point.

Seriously not apologize for them, but heck man to go from 6-8 fp to possible only 3 is freaking people out.

Don't get me wrong - What Disney is doing sucks on so many levels, it's pointless to keep going on about. But the simple fact is, cheating is cheating. But because this hits so close to home for so many people, they don't seem to have a problem with it. I used a GAC (because we needed it) and I was torn a new one many times by people who felt using it was cheating the system, just because others did.

In any event, the reason I won't be trying this isn't because of the cheating aspect. Personally, I don't blame anyone who does try it. I just won't be trying it because it's too much work, on top of what is already an exhausting amount of work for this vacation.

Absolutely.

They were pretty clear up front that their intent was to see the underused capacity at second tier attractions gets more fully utilized. This just supports that.

Social engineering at its finest!

Old KTTW that had tickets attached, but expired do not work in FP machines..

I'm sure I have seen reports of people successfully using expired KTTW cards to pull FP's.

Are you saying that this has now been stopped by Disney?

Or that it was just an "urban myth" and never actually worked?

It still works, they just have to have been room only. Anyone who tells you it worked with an expired package is not telling the truth.

Right, it was room only KTTW cards I thought, as well. You couldn't have expired tickets attached to them.

Maybe they think it will make the experience more 'magical'?

We've entered the period before Thanksgiving when school is out everywhere. The parks will be packed and we'll get a lot less "Great news everybody I used Magic Bands this week while no one was at the parks and THEY WORK GREAT TWO THUMBS UP!!!!" around here.

These cheerful reports for the past week before schools got out are all over the board now, I counted about five on the front page this morning. They sprung up like mushrooms all over the backyard. :p

Yeah but I've seen a couple more real reports saying things like omg the parks are crazy packed and I can't move my FP selections. LOL I think they thought the week before Tgiving meant the days before Tgiving. It is literally a switch that happens overnight from Saturday to Sunday.

I need to make selections for today so wish me luck! ;)
