FP+ with split stay on/off site + Ap upgrade

We're traveling back to the world in October and will be staying at AKV for 6 nights. We most likely will add 2 nights before hand at either pop or offsite. We plan to buy our tickets from undercover tourist.

I know we can't make FP+ reservations for the offsite days however if we make our FP+ reservations for the onsite days and then have our first "use" before out onsite will that have any effect on our FP+ reservations? Just want to make sure they don't get cancelled.

Also we play to upgrade the 8 day hoppers to AP's. I assume it’s best to wait until the last day to upgrade them to AP's so that it doesn't affect our FP+ reservations.

2- Won't matter when you do the upgrade.
