FP+ with AP question

My answer was going to be that no, you’ll be locked out. However, I just tried and got s different result. I don’t know if this is in flux or what, but I have:

*8 days of FP for an 8 night onsite stay starting in mid-April
*3 days of FP for a 3 night stay in late May

Just had no issue trying to book for tomorrow. Added two AP friends (same FPs/stays as me,) no issue. Tried to add my Mom (MYW, all days reserved) and it blocked me.

YMMV, of course!
I believe you would get 9 days of FP privileges with an 8 night stay which would account for the extra day. I have 8 days booked on a 7 night stay so can't make any more.

Let me test... I’ll go make FP for arrival/departure days and see if I can make one for tom :)

Ah - yep! Made FP for the departure day (Apr) & arrival day (May) and got locked out of tomorrow. So 8 nights/9 day FP April and 3 nights/4 day FP May and I was locked out.

ETA: Incidentally - because I’m a curious cat - I deleted the 9th/4th days, made FP for tomorrow, made a FP for my 9th day in April and then tried to add for my 4th day in May. No go. So it does seem to “total” your days and give you permissions based on that - who knew?!

What we've done when we happen to get to Florida a day or two early is to just cancel one of the days of prebooked FP's (usually HS or Epcot as those have been the easiest to replace) and then make day of FP's for those extra days. Same could be done for those looking to do day trips prior to their onsite stay.

We will be upgrading to APs on our July trip since we will be back in October and December. I want to make sure I understand all of this correctly. Since I will be onsite both trips (6 days, then 3 days), I should be fine to book Fastpasses for both when my 60 days hits?

You’re all good. :thumbsup2

For your onsite stay, did you book FP's for every day including both you check in and check out days?
I did not book fastpass on check in and check out... But I book 3 FPs for every other day of my stay.

That's what I figured. The reason you were able to add an additional day of FP's is that you did not use your allotted number based on your length of stay with the onsite stay.
