FP window- Settle disagreement between me and my MIL?

I have done all our family’s WDW planning for years and even help friends with theirs.
I get our FPs without fail at 7am est.

We arrive May 6th. I have had a March 7th alert set on my calendar for months. This past weekend I asked my in-laws what FPs they wanted (MIL desperately wants to ride MMRR) and she insists I can book FPs on March 6th. She states “she heard it from Disney” and is VERY adamant on this point.

I have double and triple checked my math using 2 different websites and a paper calendar.

It is March 7th right? Or have I been doing it wrong all these years?

I’m probably going to check daily anyways but I just want to know how paranoid/prepared I need to be on March 6th.

Your window is March 7 because March has 31 days. If all months had 30 days, then the number day would remain the same over 2 months.

My Disney Experience should actually tell you the date the FP window opens.

MMRR at 30 day FP+ window will probably not be available. Places like Touring Plans and The Dibb track fastpass availability if you want to start scoping it out for planning purposes.

Thanks all for indulging my paranoia!!! And yes we are onsite so 60 days. I’ll just tell her I tried on Friday and do it on Saturday. Her level of confidence just made me question my knowledge

Your window is March 7 because March has 31 days. If all months had 30 days, then the number day would remain the same over 2 months.

I’m more concerned that someone old enough to be a MIL doesn’t know this, LOL

Or better yet, tell her to let you know what FPs she secures on the 6th so you can plan for the 7th.

Ill be honest. Not something i thought of. We are checking in 9/26/20. In my mind and my calendar i had 3/26/20 and 7/26/20 as our 180 and 60 dates. When i just checked and its actually 3/30/20 and 7/28/20

Your FP date is listed on MDE.

As others have mentioned, MDE will tell you what day you can do your FPs.
It is 60 days out, not 2 months as your MIL is counting.
To keep peace, I would tell them that MDE says my FP day is March 7th, but I will try to do FPs on the 6th, but doubt it will let me.

What’s your hotel check in date? It’s 60 days from check in. Regardless, in my experience — it never hurts to let your MIL think she’s right
