FP system a total joke.

Tried to book our Fastpasses (we are offsite and 30 days out), and system didn't even recognize my assigned tickets as active until almost 7:15, and I kept getting kicked out. I am so frustrated. I know the landscape of this system has changed with the Disney Springs have 60 day access, but I did not have this problem last summer. This is a big deal. We are spending $2000 on park tickets. I get that the site gets overloaded but this was a total disaster.
 
I'm sorry this happened; I would be frustrated, too. Were you able to get anything you wanted?
 
Excuse my temper tantrum vent. I always regret whining 30 seconds after I post. So many other things in life to get worked up about. I was frustrated but feeling better now that My Disney Experience finally acknowledged that we actually have tickets! Ugh. I did get some fast passes (phew) but was hoping for more AM times since we like to take an afternoon break in the summer heat. I’m sure everyone else feels the same way.

I wouldn’t be so frustrated with my selections if I actually had access at 7am, when I was ready. I hate sitting there, unable to do anything when it’s been advertised that access is granted at 7am of your booking window. Not really true in this case.
 

I had issues this morning as well. I wasn't able to get in until 7:30, but fortunately got what we wanted. I imagine the only reason that happened was because everyone else was having the same problem.
 
The same thing happened to me this morning. I actually never got the app to let me in. I had to make all FP on my computer. I was in a panic when it said I did not have tickets linked. It is frustrating but I’m glad it’s done.
 
Yeah don't worry we were all in the same boat! It crashed pretty continuously for me over the 30-40 min I was booking. Hope you were able to get at least some of the things you wanted!

I also couldn’t get in on the app. Glad I had the computer ready because ultimately that’s how I was able to get a Splash Mountain FP before 2pm 🙄🙄🙄. Still trying for earlier because we are stuck with 1:30 and I usually try to leave the park by 1 to go eat and swim and then return at 4:30 or 5.
 
My sister had some issues at 7am this morning, too. I had to leave for work so I'm not sure what it was doing, but she was grumping at her laptop. By 7:45 I had a text that we were all set and we got everything we wanted, so that's good.
 
I don't blame anyone for complaining. WDW is the largest single site employer in the country, so you'd think they'd have one of the best IT departments in the country. But you would be wrong. I got caught up in the same glitch this morning. Was able to get one FP+, then just Olaf. Finally was able to get the crucial FP+ that I wanted, except for FoP on the first day of the vacation. The website finally worked while the app was still glitchy
 
I too had an awful time this morning with FP booking too. Both the app and Internet Explorer wouldn't work. I tried to get to Disney IT but after a ton of questions it was a 90 minute wait. I tried Chrome and finally got in, albeit with several drop outs. It is totally unacceptable to have this happen to guests. We are taking our niece for her first trip and I was just so upset. I did finally get almost everything we wanted but the stress was AWFUL!
 
That’s nothing compared to when free dining drops, it took us almost 2 hours of constant refreshing, cussing and almost completing orders before they errored out and had to start over. The website is super frustrating but it goes through periods of insane traffic.
 
The app and computer wouldn’t work until a good 20 minutes into it today for me. I got everything I wanted except slinky dog early in the day. So we had to change a dining reservation. Very frustrating!!
 
MDE is very complex. I am spoiled by it when planning trips to other destinations.

That being said I wish they would put the money into making it more stable.
 
I'm sorry, I completely understand your frustration with Disney's embarrassingly bad IT. Everyone that has planned a trip has run up against some of the worst IT on the interwebs.

It's Tuesday, so the system typically crashes on Tuesday mornings ~ in addition to all the other usual mornings. :sad2:

It's only glitchy on days that end in Y....

I hate WDW fastpass system also. Unless you are staying on site (which I don't do), it is next to useless anyways. I really hope they scrap it and come out with something closer to what Disneyland California does with their Maxpass. Far more fair IMO to ALL guests. People who stay on property have other perks (extra park hours, etc). They don't have to have ALL the perks. The rest of us are still spending a lot of money to go to the parks. Makes me mad.
