FP+ ressies if you change resorts or tickets

I have an AP that will expire after our next trip. DH will need a park ticket. If we make a resort ressie with dining pkg and make FP+ picks before upgrading to a different promo pkg if one becomes available, will our FP+ choices transfer okay or will we have to start over?
