First of all my 2 year old in the past has never received a ticket therefore never needed a FP. Now on MDE she's listed with a MB. Does this mean I need to book her FP+ as well as the rest of us?

Second, when I read about making FP+ ressies, people talk about linking tickets in order to book the same time for everyone. If I set up the vacation package and everyone is listed in my MDE family window. Are the tickets linked together already? Or is there another step in the process?

your 2 year old will get a magic band but no she won't need a FP as she doesn't have a park ticket and will just ride with you as if she had a fp, nice and easy.
if everyone in your family is on the same package and has park tickets as part of the package then you are good to go to book FP for everybody.
it gets more complicated when you have family and friends who have a separate reservation to you. it can still be linked though
