FP not working on MDE.

It is?? Seems to be the same to me. I always get a kick out of what Disney refers to as their "magical enhancements" because it always becomes a magical nightmare.
I think they've added functionality and have made improvements. They are still behind the curve for a company their size, though. And reliability is an obvious problem...
 
I was trying to select FP last night and the system went nuts. The passes wouldn't show up as associated to my party when opening the FP page. Was on the phone with tech services for over an hour with no resolution. They said they were getting alot of calls about it. This was around 10 PM. This didn't start this morning.
 
So waited 20 minutes for kiosk to see reservations. Deal is they show up but if you don't have preplanned FP you can only pick one today??? People are not happy. And once you pick it you can't modify it. Online or kiosk. They didn't tell people and they picked one right away and then that was it! This is really unacceptable. It is 10am and we haven't done a thing yet because of line to get bag checked and line to get in and then line to check FP.
 
The @wdwToday twitter account is repeatedly reassuring people that all the FastPass data is safe, and this will be resolved at some point but they can't say when.
 

It is super glitchy, I got all the major FP's we wanted, but it won't let me book FP's for our last day! GRRRR So now I have to call, this should be fun!

...so it is still super glitchy, but the issue with booking the last day wasn't the websites fault, it was my sons! Haha He was helping me book and he booked on the wrong day which as you know meant we used all our pass days. Just a quick fix to delete those and we were good! Something that should have only taken 15 minutes, ended up taking about 4 hours!!

I have not had an issue with the website this morning, at all. Shouldn't I have?
 
I am so frustrated! I still cannot book FP, but I am not sure if this is due to the system or a separate problem with my husband's AP. His AP is not showing as active (although it does not expire until Feb. of 2018), and I have spent a few hours trying to get the situation resolved. The IT department cannot figure it out. On top of that, his inactive AP status has created all kinds of other problems which will need attention at Guest Relations when we arrive in Orlando.

Is anyone else having trouble making FP selections right now?
 
I was joking to my husband it's revenge, from all those guys that had to train their out of country replacements last year. Joking aside though, I'm sure some heads are rolling there,because this is almost cotastrophic, the number of people it's effecting.
Nah. This happens on a routine basis and nothing is ever fixed or changed.
 
It was some serious work this go around! haha We are doing 2 days at AK, 1 night time and 1 day time, so we got both rides. The night time will be our arrival day, I was a little worried about being able to book anything at AK, but got FOP and ROL! It will be a great trip for sure! I see I will have some great company as well. :)
 
I'm pretty sure they heard my WOOHOO in the next county. It was enough to make my brother and law and nieces rush into the room to see if I was screaming because I was smashing the computer, or because it was working, lol. We had to go and do stuff, so just booked my crucial. I was pleasantly surprised I could pick one at a time, and when, unlike a few years ago, when I had to do all three, then modify from there.
 
This really stinks.

Since the system is completely down and noone can get in I hope everyone eventually can get the fp they want

Once you do I would suggest emailing the executive offices of Disney about the problems and your wait times and how it effected your day.

I emailed them about a similar fiasco that happened to me on a Saturday wasting 4 hours on this Disney crap because of their poor IT.

I got a call back and she added 1 anytime fp for every day of our trip. Only thing it didnt include was the Frozen ride which had just opened but DD didnt want to ride it anyway.

Disney owes you something for your time and aggravation. For years and years their site has been down almost as much as it is up and that is unacceptable for a multi billion dollar company that has its guests relying on the system to make all their plans.

I sent the email from my prior job work email and no longer have the exec offices email address but I did get it from the DIS boards- may have been the Rivers of Light thread -another Disney debacle. In fact I need to find the address to report a problem I had with a one night stay a couple weeks ago at POR.

Don't give up and don't forget to followup about your experience with the executive office- not guest services managers who can do nothing to make you whole.

Glad everything worked out and folks got their choices. Tech is great when it's working, but when it's not it's time for :badpc:

Things happen. Technology is imperfect. People running the technology are imperfect.
Every FP isn't going to suddenly be booked because you aren't able to get on first thing. No one else is able to get on, so who would be booking them?

I was not online when that happened. It does not happen often and there is no reason whatsoever for Disney to have consistently slow sheepish Stitch-ate-the-page IT problems that I encounter every single time I use the site. Not asking for perfection, just a level of service commensurate with the price of the product. I wasn't trying to book fast passes, so I don't really know how this all shook out, but my sympathies are with those who were expecting to be able to do so.
 
FYI: System worked perfectly this morning. Was able to do 5 days worth of fastpasses in less than 15 minutes.
