I totally love this idea. For MNSSHP my DD and I are going as Rapunzel and Mother Gothel. I'd love to get Rapunzel and Flynn to sign a frying pan. And it'd make for some great interaction and pictures as well!

Here's a tip for you: Buy a paint marker for signing. Common colors are white, silver or gold. They are intended for writing on steel, concrete, brick, etc. Back on the farm, we used them for marking metal before welding. A silver or gold signature will look great on a cast iron frying pan, much better than signatures in black sharpie.

I found a huge variety of inexpensive cast iron frying pans at Bass Pro Sports. I just bought a 6" pan for camping, but they also had tiny ones that could be used as a spoon rest or pendant.

I wanted to post an update. My DD15 took her frying pan into the MK and got it signed. Rapunzel was amazing. She told my daughter she like the "handy travel size".

My DD13 produced a wanted poster of Flynn and asked Rapunzel "if she had seen this man." Rapunzel went on and on about how Eugene had really changed and that he was really, really nice now.

I think you'll be fine. Not many people think of frying pans as weapons outside of Rapunzel, Flynn, and Ralphie Cifaretto.

i beg to differ....my cat got stuck in a plastic bag once with a frying pan.....after that accident, she was terrified of plastic bags...and the frying pan never cooked right because of the large dent

I love this idea and may have to "steal" it!! I'm thinking this could be one of the "surprises" we give our daughter the night before we leave since she has no idea that she will be spending her 8th birthday at WDW.

If you don't want to carry around a full size one I received one at my wedding shower that is the size to cook one egg. I bet you could find it in bed bath and beyond or target.
