FP+ is now completely worthless if you are staying offsite.

I get MY House, not a cheap resort no you just don't get it

The FP+ available listed is stuff never needed with a FP before so from a FP+ POV = CRAPPOLA IMHO of course

With all due respect, it seems like your argument is that FP should be exactly what is most convenient for you alone. A way for a local to quickly ride the hottest new attraction.

Personally, I dont think it's fair that Comcast gives HBO to people that pay more. I mean, TV should be equal for everyone, that's how life works.
OK, then I'll pay for the right to pick 3 FP+ at 60 days out when I'm staying offsite. That's the only fair way to compare. You could say that I would pay by being onsite but nope, that's not worth it for 3 measly FP+.

Wasn't Space/Splash Mountain on that list? :confused3

I don't think the rest of the listed rides are crap either. I would happily ride on any of them during the most crowded part of the day.

The point of the whole argument. If you want to stay onsite, you get a benefit.

That list couldn't be accurate because it says all Meet and Greets. I doubt that this includes A&E.

Otherwise, I do mostly agree. We would pick Peter Pan, the Haunted Mansion and Big Thunder Mountain. Peter Pan is missing so we'd have to substitute for that.

No that is not what I am saying at all. just the opposite. this " debate " has been going on for awhile now. What you stated above is the on going debate/ POV from some posters that ONLY stay onsite and the attitude is too bad for the offsiters.

Well your argument seems to be that FP is crap because you cant get it for 7DMT and A&E, subtly saying that having FP's for other rides arent important.

Is it really a surprise that on-site guests would have an advantage? Not access to things that you dont, but a minor access in terms of accessing a fast pass for certain things.

It's going to take a lot more than that. In fact, it would take a lot more than that to even get back into most of the parks.

My point is that you can't compare that to HBO. Anyone can buy HBO. No one cares where a person sleeps or how much they pay for their cable/satellite. Plus HBO costs the same for everyone and they don't omit certain movies or delay any viewings because someone has the golden package versus the bronze. It just isn't a good comparison IMO.

The point is that people come on the forums and are BLOWN AWAY that people that pay more to stay on-site would get additional benefits. This concept is normal across every facet of life.

Trust me there is nothing subtle about how I feel. On-siters should NOT trump offsiters for any FP opportunities. A ticket is a ticket for park entry. EMH should be enough.

Disney is making a big mistake, especially with the local AP holders; time will tell.

I will respectfully disagree with this when it comes to the parks during regular business hours. We all pay the same for passes and I don't believe that one group should get preferential treatment over another. We have often stayed onsite too but I still don't agree with it.

But not all people who stay on site get those additional benefits, do they? Your plans have to fit in every category in order to reap those "benefits". You have to stay on site, you have to book more than 60 days out, and you have to purchase your tickets prior to 60 days out, or staying on site does you no good. The family that plans a last minute trip to an onsite hotel 4-6 weeks out, or doesn't want to buy their tickets until they show up, is SOL and gets no benefits.

House, resort, room, villa- I don't care what the name is- whatever you like to call it, it's fine with me. It's cheaper than the nicer places at WDW. That's the benefit you get from staying off site.

You didn't need a fp for TOT, RRC, the mountains, Soarin', Test Track. Peter Pan's Flight- just to name a few? I don't know what time of year you go, but I always needed them.

At any rate, if your position is not a single thing in WDW requires a fp but one ride and 1 meet n greet, I think it's you that doesn't understand. And I don't think there are too many people that would agree with you on that.

Oh now you know where I live and it's cheaper than the nicer places in WDW,,,:lmao: ok once again you win, continue on with your thread I am done

Yes. I bet the local AP holders are really upset that they can pre-book 3 E-ticket attractions weeks in advance online to make a quick weeknight trip totally line-free.

FP+ is beyond amazing for AP holders.

A lap dance from Minnie might persuade me.......

(Did I just say that out loud?)

Every ride at WDW at every park was available just 2 weeks from now with the exception of 7dmt. There were a couple of m&g's not available- A&E being 1 of course- but suddenly all of WDW is crap except for 7dmt- a ride that a lot of people claim to be a disappointment.

they just think that its absurd that anyone else should have anything better than them. they are fully able to have the same benefits, but would rather not pay for them.

If you're talking about the list I posted, I didn't say all m&g's, I actually listed this:

In other words, everything with the exception of A&E, 7dmt, wishes and parade

A&E was not available on the day I checked. Peter Pan's Flight is listed as available.

Excuse me, I missed the fact that you live locally. My mistake and I apologize. I was speaking of off site guests who aren't local- and unless a poster specifically mentions they're local I don't usually remember where they live.

Btw- Cheaper seems to have a negative connotation for you. Cheaper means costs less and that's as far as that goes. And no, I have no clue how much your home costs, nor do I care. I was talking about lodging, not personal homes.

Local ap holders have special issues that most everyone else does not. If you live local, then you have no need for a resort- either on site or off. I've said before that I think Disney needs to do something about that- not sure what they'd do. I'm a AP holder, but I don't live local. I don't think I'm entitled to any more perks than a ticket holder as far as fp+ goes- I get them on site, I don't off. But how do you allow benefits for a local AP that you don't apply across the board? I don't know. But I agree, it's an issue.

However, for those who choose off site stays vs on site- it is, imo, a choice they make and I have no problem with WDW offering perks for on site that off site does not get.
