I just finished booked the majority of our fp's for both on and off property tonight. A couple of interesting things I noticed that I would pass on.

First we're doing 4 nights at the Dolphin followed by 2 weeks at Marriott timeshares. We have 7 day hopper passes. We were able to get all 4 of the on property nights at the 60 day mark and each add'l day is still coming up when we hit the 60 day point for ea day. So those who have said that doesn't work any longer are either mistaken or their MDE glitched. To me that means the throwaway is still live and well for those who want fp availability for the tougher attractions. I can also say that I booked right at midnight for the onsite stay and could have (didn't want it) chosen A & E.
I know I've read on here that the onsite stay had to be prior to the offsite stay for the 60 days to work but once I had our onsite fp's booked I could book the days prior to our onsite as well. For example we are onsite Sept 25th -29th and I can book any day from now until Oct 4th with fp's including but not limited to any day in Sept. Although we aren't there earlier I tried it and confirmed fp's then cancelled them to make sure it worked. So for those of you offsite before your onsite stay it looks like once you book your onsite days the window will open for you for the previous days as well.

I had this very same thing happen and wondered if it was a glitch. When my 60 day window opened I booked fast passes for the days of our on site stay. A few days later we decided we want to go to Epcot two days before our on site stay. MDE let me cancel one day of fast passes during our on site stay, and then book fast passes for Epcot two days prior to our check-in date, and it was outside of the 30-day window for off-site guests. I just thought I would try it and was very surprised when it actually worked.

I don't think it's a glitch. Imho it seems that fp is set up that way as long as you have valid tickets. Once the window is open then it is open for all dates up to 60 days away. With 7 day passes I'm guessing that it might close on you once you pass the 14 days when the tickets would expire but I haven't tested that.
