Had our first experience with FP+ today. I wasn't happy about the idea, as I loved legacy. However, I have to say using FP+ went really well. With a crowd level 8, we used 7 FP each across two parks. Did not use our first pass until 3:30pm, so could have had many more if we'd scheduled them earlier. Between rope drop and fastpasses, we pretty much walked on everything. Overall, an extremely successful day. Just wanted to share for those who many be nervous about FP+ and high crowds (which I totally was).

Wonderful! Hope the rest of your trip is just as enjoyable! :)

Thanks! We are loving it - waiting for the frozen show to start at DHS right now.

Glad to hear things went well for you.

I assume that you spent at least part of the day at the MK because that is where same day FPs are most available and useful.

I was looking at wait times there last evening and it looked like they were pretty manageable (with the usual longer lines at things like PP, 7DMT, and Space Mountain). With the park open from 8 AM-midnight there are plenty of opportunities to avoid the longer standby lines in the middle of the day by arriving early, staying late, or (for those who have a lot more stamina than I do) both

What great news to hear!! As has been noted previously until you've experienced the "entire" FP+ experience you can't really know :teeth: When we used it during our Sept 2014 trip we had a similar experience.

Have a continued magical vacation!!!!

Doug :goofy:

Sorry, I am a little confused. Are you saying that on a crowd level 8 day, you walked on every attraction between rope drop and 3:30 p.m.? That doesn't seem possible, even on a low crowd day.

Glad to hear from more people who have actually used the system.....and had the same positive experience we've had.

Was it an actual level 8 or forecasted as? I've been many a time when the crowd level didn't coincide with the forecast from a crowd calendar..

They didn't walk on every attraction (meaning they didn't do everything in the park) by 3:30.....but every attraction they went on between opening and 3:30 they were able to walk on. Does that make sense?

I get it, because we have done the same. Not, not every attraction you do will be a 'major' one, but there is a lot to see. From rope drop to 11:00 you can walk on mostly good stuff. From 11:00 to 3:00, when not having lunch, you can still walk on a lot of stuff, but some of it may be of the Tiki Room/Philharmagic/Teacups variety.

Did you have to wait very long for the kiosks in the park?

(Have a great rest of your trip)!

You said "across two parks" so can you get FP+ in more than one park now?

According to Touring Plans, all of the parks were observed at an 8 level yesterday except AK, which was a 7.

Sounds similar to our experience last summer. I had lots of trepidation about FP+ but am glad I withheld judgment until we had used it. We were there at a very busy time and only stood in line for one ride (SDMT). Other than that the longest queue was for a kiosk a couple of times

I read it differently. My take was that the OP was able to walk on pretty much everything using a combination of FP+, finding other attractions that didn't need it, and being at rope drop. And by "everything" I'm guessing that doesn't encompass everything the park has to offer. My biggest question is how anyone can get 7 FP's at multiple parks if the first one didn't occur until 3:30. If I read that correctly, that's 14 FP's, all after 3:30? Or was it meant to say that 7 FP's were used in total between two parks?

Anyway, I'm glad to see that someone was able to use FP+ effectively during a high crowd time. Enjoy!
