FP+ - how important is it to make them at midnight?

In recent experiences (namely, Mine Train), would anyone say it's crucial to book FP+ reservations at midnight on the 60 day mark? Similar to 6am on the 180 mark for the hard to get ADRs. We'll be there the week before Thanksgiving, which is a relatively slow week. I just realized I'm traveling for work on my 60 day mark, and won't get time to make the reservations until about 7pm that night. Do I stand a chance at getting Mine Train and decent availability to choose from?

I don't think so, unless you want very specific times. I booked FP+ for end of June last week, so about 30 days out. No problems getting 7DMT, it was for 4pm. Also got A&E too for last afternoon. (We are a party of 4).

ETA: the only thing gone for the days I wanted MK was the parade FP+, which I would have picked but most likely not used :)

I booked my trip about 40 days out and everything seemed available for morning FPs. Now it's 30 days and while making some changes it looked like 7 dwarves availability was more limited - starting late afternoon. Everything else still looks pretty wide open.

The only thing I'd say would be important to book ASAP is Anna and Elsa.
For the rest of them, I would plan to make the FP's before the 30 day mark ... That's the point when AP holders (and others who already have their tix but not staying onsite? Not sure about that one) will be added to the booking pool.

We just hit 60 days out this morning. After doing a bit of searching, I decided to get up at 6am (about 40 minutes earlier than usual) and did okay booking. I added in the attractions I want for each day, then went back to change times around and split up the party. Worked pretty well.

However, I didn't try for the coveted Anna and Elsa FP+ so I would think that is probably worth a midnight booking, even if you only do that day's FP+'s and leave the other ones for later in the day.

(Has A&E become the new CRT??? ;) )

I think Anna and Elsa are the hardest ones to get. I've seen Mine Train open within the thirty day period. So, unless you want to see the Frozen characters, I'd sleep in. :)

I am glad someone posted this. We leave in 34 days and I am still torn between getting AP or not. I definitely want Anna and Elsa and the new 7DMT but I am fairly confident I can figure something out. ;)

FYI midnight happens in Eastern time zone, so if you are located in say PST or MST you can book before "midnight"...

It is not necessary. There are still plenty of options even 30 days out, and I have changed my FastPasses around several times. If you're into Anna/Elsa and the Mine Train, book those ASAP, but even for those it's not necessary to book at midnight 60 days out.
