FP gone so fast??

Adding capability would be the key to making any attraction-rationing system more of a useful thing. However, I don't share your confidence that Disney will increase the capacity or supply of anything anytime soon.

Adding capacity is in full swing at the highest-demand attractions, even as we speak.

They can't add capacity to 7DMT, of course, so that's out.

It is the same thing in a way, the difference is that instead of having just that one chance at a FP on the morning of park visit, they now have the "opportunity" to keep trying before the trip and things do open up from time to time.

Either way it's stinks!
Yup and now if that "opportunity" arises on a day and time you planned on being somewhere else you now have the "opportunity" to try and change the rest of your plans to accommodate this blessing bestowed on you.

I guess my definition of "soon" is different. An expansion of TSMM and Soarin' to be completed sometime in 2016 isn't my idea of "soon", especially when both those rides have had major capacity problems since their openings years ago.

And does that mean they'll take away tiering? Does it mean they'll be available as a 4th FP? None of that is a given at this point. So while it might help some guests, it might do nothing for others.

That means, to my simple mind, that FP+ is/was not the great answer to the super-popular attraction availability problem.
Funny how this is so often overlooked. DL won't roll out FP+. Is it because guest traffic patterns are so wildly different at the MK at WDW? I doubt it. No matter how much the local, loyal guests of DL might protest, if Disney thought that FP+ was a solution to much of anything, it would roll it out at DL irrespective of what the locals thought. Disney didn't seem to care all that much about the locals in FL when it rolled out FP+, and as I recall, locals weren't all that thrilled about it especially when AP Holders were placed at the bottom of the priority list.

How can they book 75 days out?
If you have an onsite reservation you can book FP for the lenth of your stay, provided you have enough days on your ticket to cover them, starting at 60 days out. So, if you had a 10 day ticket and 10 day reservation, you could log in at 60 days from day one and book until the 10th day - which would be 70 days from the day you logged in ... But for an AP, you have unlimited days .... The system will, however, not allow you to book beyond the 15th day from check in - that would be day 75. The next day you could book day 76 then day 77 the day after that and so on

There are alot of 7:00 closings in mid/late Sept due to Halloween parties.

Based on the experience in Florida, it seems to me it's not the local AP holders who are most disgruntled about FP+. I hear lots of reports on here about how locals love to pop in and have a few rides booked (which hey I think sounds good too).

Is that actually confirmed? There seems to a lot of speculation that it will come to DL- nothing firm, but certainly not definite that it won't be coming.

"The Disneyland Resort in California will be conducting their very first tests for FastPass+ in August 2015"

Fair point. But the notion of "testing" reveals much. With FP+ fully in place in WDW, what needs to be tested? Do they need to see if it will work? If it is already a solution, then what are they testing for? Do they need to see if people will buy into it? If it is a solution to a problem, does that matter? Something behind the scenes is going on if DL is going to get "testing" instead of "implementation".

They can't. They can book at 60 days but book for their whole trip so I guess it's technically 60+ days but they can't actually begin booking till 60 days out. Same process as ADRs I'm pretty sure!

How's Seven Dwarfs availability? I want to book It for a morning in late October?
I booked monday night midnight and got 4 FP times for my kids (one ride will be with their mema) and 3 FP times for all of us together and at decent times! The anna and elsa didn't work for me but my MIL (mema) snagged one for the kids!

Just got on at 11pm central on the dot to make fp and no meet anna and Elsa and no electrical parade viewing all week. I know I know I know they are popular but all gone in 3 Seconds for September?? Am I missing something?

if the Halloween party is going on at that time, shorten days because of that explains it. I had issues last October getting SDMT, because of the 9-7 hours cause of the party. I must have luck with the A&E fast pass, it comes up for me each time.

Magicbands are not coming to DL. That has been stated by Disney execs in news articles. That's not thr same as fp+ not coming. However, for something they are supposed to be testing in August, there have been.no visible signs of the infrastructure changes (WiFi being available in the parks, for ex) that would be necessary for fp+ regardless of MBs.

Never mind the fact that is no room in Fantasyland for FP return lines in most of those attractions. It would take a pretty substantial overhaul of that area to accomplish and would need to be well under way by now if that story is to be believed.

OP, can you get an early BoG breakfast, swallow it whole and jump in line before the rope drop crowd? Right now we have BoG breakfast for a day in Sept and I was considering that... but we'll have A&E on our cruise leaving the next day, and I'm really hoping to get BoG lunch instead!

As far as I'm concerned it's little more than rumor at this point. All I'm saying is one can't say it isn't coming when the only rumors and tidbits of information are that it is. I have nothing that gives me any insider knowledge as to why they proceed the way they do but I don't read any significance into the fact that they aren't just rolling it out all at once on every ride in the parks. I think that's a bit of a stretch.
