FP for Slinky Dog or Smugglers Run?

Just posted this in a thread asking basically the exact same question...
If you were the first person in for FP booking this morning, you would have found:

The long and short of it is that standby waits for MFSR have been shorter, so I'd FP SDD. It's possible that changes with MFSR getting FP, but I am going to assume that it won't.

I think that's going to change with the advent of FP. I don't think that you will get more than 1 run in before it gets backed up.

I could see that. But I do think SDD will continue to be the tougher FP to obtain. Personally, I like Smuggler's but, I'm ok with 1 run as a gunner and then moving on. For different reasons, I don't like to go on RnR or ToT more than once. TSM is the only one, where I want to ride until my arm falls off, and even then, I'd still like to try it lefty.

Have people speculated on whether the SR would go away with FP? RnR has all three lines but the line entrances are rather simple instead of having extensive separate ramps with guard rails and costly build-outs vs. just ropes. If that question makes any sense. I'm trying to picture if it would be difficult to add a 3rd line to Smugglers.

They built three lines from the beginning.

This middle sign is for Fastpass. There's a third tunnel.

I would keep SDD over MFSR.
I would RD MFSR and get the BG for RoTR.
It will be interesting to see how MMRR changes the crowd patterns.

I think it’s going to become a preference thing. A lot of people are ok with single rider for Smuggler’s Run. Our next trip is for my daughter’s graduation and she’s huge into Star Wars so we want to experience it together. We’ve also ridden Slinky before and it’s a great ride, but it’s not going to make or break our trip if we don’t get to ride it this time.

I am lucky to have two days planned for Hollywood Studios the second week in March (2 HS, 2 AK, 1 Epcot, 2 MK), so I changed one Slinky Dog to Smuggler's Run. I don't know what to do if MMRR FPs become available though.

If I had to choose between only Slinky and Smugglers, I would probably want the Slinky fp more. I am just not going to ride that standby. It's fun, but not worth the wait in a boring outdoor queue. I wouldn't even waste the FP on it if it weren't for my kids. Slinky line is also very slow to move. Smugglers seems to move MUCH faster.

The line for SDD is hotter than the surface of the sun. The line for SR is indoor and very cool. Keep the SDD FP.
Kinda OT, but I’m going with Big Thunder as the possible most dangerous/uncomfortable queue in WDW, especially on a late summer afternoon, with no breeze and 99.999% humidity. I made the mistake of going standby one afternoon, and I was wondering how they didn’t have more medical issues in that queue, since FL temps go 15+ degrees hotter than we had.

But there's the 1 drinking fountain in the queue:). And the line is covered from the sun, except the very beg.

I don't like the BTM queue either though.
