On my trip, I will only spend one evening at Epcot. (6pm to closing)
Which of these rides should I FP+?

Soarin
Test Track
Turtle Talk
Illumination (I wonder if my kids 8 and 4 will enjoy it... or should I ride rides during the show)
Spaceship Earth
Sea with Nemo and Friends

TIA

See the Priorities post linked to in my signature for my suggestions.

Is your 4-year-old 40" tall? (Height requirement for Soarin and Test Track).

If so, you'll definitely want to FP one of those two. Based upon my 7 grandkids' preferences, I'm guessing that your kids will enjoy Test Track more than Soarin.

If your 4-year-old is too short, then you might get two Test Track FPs and two Soarin FPs. The adult using the Test Track FP gets a Rider Switch pass so the other adult can use the Fast Pass lane when he/she rides. Do the same thing at Soarin. And the 8-year-old gets to ride each attraction twice (uses FP for the first ride on each attraction, and the Rider Switch pass enables him/her to ride with the second adult the second time around on each).

g-dad66, my 4 year old is above 40" tall.
How do I FP+ both TT and Soarin since they are both in the same tier??
Also, do you think it is wise to skip Illuminations to ride the rides? I watched Illuminations 14 years ago and I don't recall it being so breath-taking.:sad2:

You should be able to get a good viewing spot for Illuminations without a FP. There are lots of viewing places around the lagoon.

Just select Test Track FP for two of the four in your party, and then select Soarin for the other two.

Not sure when your trip is, and not to make your decisions more complicated, but Frozen ride in Norway may be open by then. It will probably be another Tier 1 choice. You may not need FP for Nemo and Turtle Talk, but could make them as your Tier 2 . Hopefully they will open the 3rd theater for Soarin and waits would be better.
If you want to see Illuminations, and decide to do Frozen FP, you could make that one for later in the evening, like 8 pm, then find a spot to watch it afterwards. I don't think Spaceship Earth will be that exciting for younger kids, so I would skip it with the short amt. of time you have, unless you can't get other FP and lines are long for the big rides. If you don't do Illuminations, waits for Soarin and Test Track may drop with people heading there, and you could get on one at the end of the night. Soarin is a favorite of ours since our 1st trip when my kids were around the same age as yours, so I would try and do that if timing allows!

Thank you Cassie58!! My kids and I are not so thrilled about anything related to princesses, especially Frozen... We are soooooo over it. BUT you never know.. I will take notes of your advice and play it by ear.

I agree, we aren't so thrilled with it, so I would skip it to do rides, especially if that is your kids' preference. We much prefer Wishes and the projection show on the castle in MK and Fantasmic! in HS for night shows.

No problem - just wanted to mention it, since it will throw a wrench in a lot of people's FP planning soon! If you are not into it, yours will be easier, and you could just stay in Future World to do the other rides!
