FP+ for Epcot of DHS?

For reference: these FP+ are for the Saturday of MLK weekend in January. The Saturday is not predicted to be high season, although the Sunday and Monday are. Test Track is the (all parks) fave of all my boys and I love Soarin.

We will be in Epcot for 8:00 prepark breakfast at GG for 9:00 opening. Hoping to go straight to Soarin then go over to TT. Was thinking of walking on TT after Soarin then trying to get on FEA sometime. (My 3 boys really only want to do FEA to make fun of it and tease each other...) We have another epcot day.

Was planning to then go to DHS around lunch and have FP+ for TSMM and Star Tours, but am beginning to second guess this plan. We really only need the FP+ for TSMM since ST's wait is not too loong and the other things we do (Muppets and GMR, etc ) do not have long lines. RnR and ToT are not favorites. We do not do any DHS shows since they are almost all princessy now. Used to love Back lot and stunt show. Beginning to wonder if we should even GO to DHS this trip with 2 teenage boys and a younger boy too mature for Disney Jr.....

would it be better stand by line for TSMM early afternoon (any chance of decent wait?) OR stand by TT and FEA soon after opening? Skip DHS all together and just take it slow in Epcot?

TIA

We love TSMM and wouldn't miss it. I don't think you want to risk a wait in early afternoon, even with the third theater open now, you can not count on that being slow. I would keep your plan, do your FPs and then the other things you like as mentioned above(Muppets, GMR). The IJ stunt show is still there if your boys like it(which you could FP if you don't have a third). Also, if any of them are into SW, you could visit the Launch Bay area (if you haven't already on previous trip) to meet Chewy or Kylo or check out the memorabilia. There is also a SW stage show throughout the day, and SW fireworks show may be back on the schedule by then, or get 4th FP for F! if you enjoy that. Do you have FP set up for your other Epcot day? It sounds like on this day you will hit Soarin, then can check TT wait or do single rider if line is long. On your second day, I am guessing you will FP one of them, and could do another at RD if you will be there early. Since FEA is just a silly ride for them, I wouldn't plan around it. You could also try it at end of day if you are there and not concerned about Illuminations.

Thanks for the advice. We actually have not done the Meet and Greet with Chewbacca and youngest would like that. Ds16 might even get in the photo for fun ;) Is that a FP option?

On the other Epcot day, we also have early breakfast at GG (They love GG and we have never done the breakfast. Since I could get it Pre Park Opening both days, I decided why not?) Was planning to basically do the same plan that morning; straight to Soarin (hopefully a few minutes early) then TT. That day we will not hop so I will either FP+ TT or walk on after Soarin and FP+ FEA. Maybe we should just forget the idea of FEA since the waits seem so crazy. The boys loved Mahlstrom and really just want to see how they replaced it but that may not be a good reason to plan around it/ use a FP for it. This is MLK day and the crowds will be worse :(

We could race straight to FEA at opening if we really wanted to do it, but this seems like a waste of a lot of time considering how far it is from the other attractions (morning) and the fact that we are not Frozen fans anyway. I guess I will just do what we want and cross fingers for a same day FP.

No FP for Chewy unfortunately, but he is a great meet - he's a hugger!:chewy: There is a Disney Visa line for Kylo if you have one, which is a like a FP, with shorter line for Visa holders - we got to see Vadar last Dec., who was a little intimidating to DD12, and I imagine Kylo will be even more so for your youngest, just an FYI! There is more details on the SW thread for DHS on here about the other things to see in the Launch Bay. I agree with FEA - probably not the best use of time, and even at opening, PPO brft at Akershus will be letting out to start the line off as well. If you can get a FP, you might try it, since you know you can do Soarin after GG, and if you are willing to do single rider on TT if needed - if not, get TT and then see how waits are later in the day - I am guessing as you said, that with MLK day, it may be busy.
