I swear I read the FP+ primer thread! :thumbsup2 but couldn't quite find or understand this situation :

I'll be traveling with extended family, 12 total. Most of the planning falls on me and were all "friends" in MDE.

when I try to book our FP+ rides, will I be looking for a "reservation" for 12, or will I be booking 12 consecutive single FP+ times and hoping each time that I can continue to get same/overlapping time slots?

If it's one big FP+ block, will I need to play around with times like you sometimes do with ADRs, looking for 2 groups of 6, vs a single large group?
TIA!!

You can book them all at the same time depending on whether or not there are FP available for your entire party at that one time. If you try for everyone and it shows no availability for an attraction for your group, you may have to split the group,up in order to obtain FP. I booked for. 8 and the only attraction that I had problems booking all of us at the same time for was A&E. Even with booking separately, I did not do it one by one, I split the party into 2 groups and booked 4 and then copied to the other 4.

it will usually give you the option of 4 times. From there you can adjust to where you would like them.
TIA!!

You can book the entire group together as long as you are all connected. Or you can book a single person/ small group and then copy one reservation to another. If they are all booked together, you can go back afterwards and change individuals or groups to different rides as well (Peter Pan vs. Space Mt. for example).

Your initial set of times may not be what you want- take the initial times they give you then go in and change the FP+ time to better accommodate what you want.

I have done both a group reservation and copied for my group of 18 and not had issues.
