FP+ doesn't make lines longer.

But you couldn't get a fast pass for everything. There was no guarantee in the past that you could ride every ride every day, which is now somewhat absent.

Any tier 1 attraction available under the new system. Can't say that for FP plus!

If it's all you've got, it's all you've got. ;)

Your inability to admit you are wrong boarders on the hilarious. The fact remains if you showed up within 2 hours of open under the legacy system you got a fast pass, on any ride that was open. Fast pass plus NO NO NO! Its a simple concept if you can't grasp it I feel sorry for you!

I don't think you understand the point of this thread. It's irrelevant if maybe it would be easier to get a FP for 7DMT with paper tickets. The point is that lines for the entire day in the park are not increased by either system, only redistributed.

And there's that nasty, snarky attitude that if you like fp+ you're just wrong and we can't grasp the concept that legacy is better. No, I'm not wrong. It's better for us and it's better for a lot of people and no matter how snarky or nasty you get, it's still going to be true.

The fact is, IF you get to the park at rope drop, you'd get a legacy FP. IF you park hop and don't get to the park until evening- you wouldn't.

Oh and it's borders, not boarders. I get snarky, I give it. Simple concept.

No it's relevant because you refuted the fact that it was easier. That fact remains!

Quit mudding the waters. I simply stated the fact that you could get a fast pass for anything you wanted under legacy! Not so under plus. FACT! If you can't grasp that sorry. Move on! Enjoy your day!

Okay, if the attraction was open it worked that way. Hope your kidding cause your really splitting hairs now!

From personal exerience, on our two trips, during post Thanksgiving Dec "low crowd days" we got to EPCOT after RD and all SOARIN was gone for the day...not two hours later, but in the first hour.

SO I know from personal experience that your blanket guarantee that ANY ride was available is not true.

Oh, and what did I do? Since I was wearing my "big boy underwear" I didn't cry and moan that there wasn't a FP...I joined the SB line...and even got to ride the ride!

But it's not a fact except under specific conditions. You simply said it was guaranteed IF and I said that's a big if and not everyone can make it to the park within 2 hours of opening. So not everyone could get a fp guaranteed. That's a fact.

Countering what you say is not muddying the waters. You don't get to make claims and have them go unchallenged.

So, you Move on and enjoy your day.

True- I think we forget that some of these rides that aren't so hot now, were pretty hot at one time. TOT was one that you had to get to the park very early and make a race for a fp or you were going to have a very late return time, tying you to that park for most of the day.

We can only guess at what it would've been like with legacy for 7dmt or fp's for A&E.
Soarin I think was the worst in my memory. Blanket statements are rarely true.

It doesnt matter if you can get a single Fastpass. Saying "with old FP, I could run straight to 7DMT at rope drop and get a Fastpass" doesnt make the old system better. I am not disputing the fact that for the hottest attraction, it was easier to get a FP THAT DAY. Now, you just get them in advance. But this argument is irrelevant because its not the point of this thread.

As to the bolded - this is an if, not a guarantee.

Under legacy, if I was at RD, I got a fp for whatever I wanted, guaranteed. An hour later may be different, but *at RD* it was guaranteed.

Under fp+, if I am online when my 60 day window opens (the new "rope drop" for fp+), it is not a guarantee that I will get a fp+ for whatever I want as the full fp availability for the day I'm scheduling is no longer available. People who are there during my trip, but check in a few days before me have already started depleting the pool.

Yes, this is only true for a few things...but the same could be said for legacy where only a select few attractions ran out of fp for the day quickly. Under legacy, I could alter my.touring plan the next day and be there at RD and get a fp if I wanted. Under fp+, those hard.to get fp+ were booked up long before you set foot on.property.

Just so we're clear, are you saying that you arent able to ride the rides you want now?

Don't try to explain yourself, it's an exercise in futility!

First point...not everyone does RD...so this system works for people even if they don't do RD, not liking a system because it doesn't give you an advantage you used to use is a bogus knock against it. Some of us like to sleep in, miss the crowded resort bus line with everyone trying to hit RD, catch the less crowded line to get in an hour or two after opening. FP+ lets anyone get a FP without being in the stampede.

Second point...if at 12 am on your 60+ day what you wanted isn't available, you try for another day...I alter my.touring plan for the next day (or the 10th) and get it...and don't have to risk altering my touring plan and then still not get it on site.

I agree it isn't perfect, but I got 7DMT no trouble, even on my first day in the park...I have a FP+ for EVERY ride I consider a MUST DO...except HM because it is closed most of my trip, then it is all out for our last day...oh well, MK is open till 3 am, I'm sure at some point the line will be reasonable enough to ride it.

Sorry I am not buying it . Not on a low crowd day. Never have I heard such a thing!

Don't try to explain yourself, it's an exercise in futility!

No. Youre just not making a point that matters. I dont care if in the old system it was easier for you to run at rope drop for a specific fast pass. I get it. It was easier to get that one pass day of. Now you have to plan it out.

That is not the argument. Getting a single fast pass doesnt mean you win life.

The point is that regardless of which fastpasses you get, your overall wait times are not going to be affected. If you add up all the time you wait on 10 rides during a day, it is the same with or without fastpass. There are minor exceptions which I have already covered in my OP, but that is a separate thing entirely.

Furthermore, the point is to ride rides. So not getting a FP for ONE attraction that you want just means you go standby.
