Again. Long time no chat. I read all of the posts and couldn't begin to comment on all of them. It was my fifth week of being sick. With this three day weekend off from work, just today I have started to feel a little better. It's a miracle, only a cough once in awhile and not blowing my nose every hour on the hour. Please let it be done.

Surgery is scheduled for 9 am. We have to arrive at 6:30. Which means we'll leave here at about 6:15. Nice to be staying just across the street! I should hopefully be in my room by about 3, so I;ll get on here as soon as I can and let you know I'm alive and kicking (with one leg, anyway...)

Hey everyone! I'm back and have missed you all so very much! A very nice cold has settled into my chest..but I have to keep plugging on! Am going back to catch up on everything but wanted to post first and say hello and good morning to all my wonderful friends! Hope everyone's been doing well.

Racer sorry to hear about your cold and back problems Not able to sit at a computer.

Well yesterday I was down for the count got hit by the stomach bug. Woke up around three in the morning. Never did get actually sick (thank God), but had the chills aches and pain and nausea. You know it's bad when I actually stayed in bed crawled up sleeping. I can't remember the last time I took a 'sick day'. Feeling better today, a little weak and appetite a bit funky but much better. Now if I can figure dinner???? Some things make me feel sick thinking about them and others don't bother me and make me hungry.

Happy President's Day Ladies:

It's Family Day here so everyone is off. I didn't get to watch the race but saw the crash on the TV in the steakhouse where we were having dinner...didn't realize it was Junior that took out Kyle...the smack should be good whenever M&N & Racer make it on here.

That's great that your kids could go to a game...it's pretty well impossible to get ticket to an NHL game here...and cost a fortune!!

Family Day! What a neat idea! It is always fun to hear about other people's holidays.

So, just got kind of a crappy call from DH. Apparently, his boss has "asked" him to take a 10% paycut. I'm trying very hard to be positive. I know we'll get by, things have been very tight, but we've still been able to continue to put some money in savings, etc. I'd hate to stop that right now, but we can if we have to. And, so many people are so much worse off than this situation, I'm thankful that its just 10% (knock wood.) That's actually the nervous part. Its a small company, and I don't want this to be a sign of things to come. So, DH and I agreed that he really needs to step up the job search. Not exactly the time to be looking, but we'll do what we can and this is something on the "things we can do" list.

So, anybody know any people in IT in the Philadelphia area that might need a fabulous new employee?
Seriousy though, I did tell DH I'll pull out all the stops and network wherever I can! Why not the DIS? I know at least a few of you are from PA and the surrounding areas! DH is capable, dedicated, smart and quite sexy if I do say so myself!

(How am I doing w/ being positive and fairly calm? I'm trying to turn over a new leaf.)

I seem to have come down with what everyone else is getting. I started out with a sore throat and it went down hill from there. I've been taking Night Time Tylenol and boy is that stuff good. Knocks my butt out!

I wonder how Wendy is doing right now?

It is snowing out here in NH as I type this. It started about 4PM and is suppose to stop sometime around 7AM with my area getting anywhere from 5 to 10 inches. I can't decide if I hope there is a 2 hour delay at school or if I hope that school is canceled. Since I've not been feeling so hot I would love to have a day to lounge around but that would add an extra day on to the school calender in June. We're already not getting out until June 19th.

Hey lighttech, I remember dealing with a blow out once. It was really early in the morning and I heard my oldest in his crib ready to get up. I went in and he was covered with poop! The walls, the crib and the bedding too! I put him right into the tub and cleaned him up. I then called Sukie (remember, she is my Mom in the real world. ) and asked her to come over and watch him so that I could clean everything up. YUCK!

I've got my mask on as I type and will sanitize my hands when I finish typing. I don't want to catch anything from all you sickies. Glad to see Sukie is perkier. You should have stayed sick longer and put off laundry but I know it adds up fast.

We got snow, hail and rain this afternoon. My sidewalk was all mush when I took out trash. It's supposed to rain tonight. Glad it's not all snow or ice.

I was trying to figure out what to get ready for my trip. It's so much harder when you fly. I'll have to leave Pal Mickey home this trip. I can use my friend's if I want to do pics. I'm looking forward to the flower show at EPCOT. They are featuring Cinderella. I've seen pics of other year's and they go all out as only Disney does. My friend has bursitis in her leg and has a lot of pain right now. She said it's worse than before she had hip replacement. I hope they can do something for that. She did have a shot which did not help at all.

Today would have been my parent's 59th anniv. Dad only lived for 40 of them. I'm meeting mom at Penneys where we both get a hair cut and then off to the bank and lunch. My 87 yr old friend was going but fell in her driveway this am taking out the trash. Her son came and is with her.
It was foggy but the sun's out now.
Hope everyone's just busy and not sick.
Whgrn---guess they have you up taking baby steps! Or maybe just hooked up to the machine that moves the knee. My mom reacted to drugs so was a little slower getting up.

Hey there Perkie! Glad you feel better. I had to laugh at that name because that was a name of a dog in an Arthur story. Being an elem librarian for 35 years still is ingrained in me. The funny thing was Arthur was dog sitting and the dog really wasn't very perkie and Arthur was worried but it turns out the dog had puppies and because he did such a good job, Arthur got a puppy and named it Pal. Anyway, I guess I'm off topic but it's really a cute story---I loved to show the video.

I just have to add March 18th---I go to FL!!!!

My hair is cut. Getting it cut again before I go---plus it must be highlighted. Mom and I went to the Olive Garden for lunch. She loves it there--they have such comfortable chairs that roll! Then I went to get my friend her favorite lemon sponge pie to make her feel better. We also got our tax return back. It was raining, snowing and sleeting little white balls on our way there. It was coming sideways with the wind. The sky was very black but to the side you could see white clouds and sun. Strange sky. My friend loved the pie. She did not have any broken bones---for an 87 yr old, that was very good news. She was sore and I'm afraid she'll be worse tomorrow.

Have to go to watch the basketball game...no one's chatty tonight.

Hey All, to all the sickies hope your feeling better. I'm getting there, still some foods that make me want to puke!! Okay TMI.

Wendy I see you checked in and I'm sorry I couldn't get the dates straight, if your laying on your back that means you had the surgery and all went well .

More blood work for DD and dealing w/school well should say school nurse who apparently things she is my child's health care provider and gave my DD's Doctor today a hard time. She tried the same with me and I said excuse me you can stop right there. Later when the Doc's office called I heard DD's Ped was fuming and she is not that type. She did put her in her place by telling her When I decide she is healthy enough to return she will and I will let you know.

March 20th can't get here soon enough...today the highways are all closed and the kids are home from school...which never happens here unless it's really bad. We lost power last night for 5 hours so I missed Survivor and only caught the last half of Grey's.
