whgrn Glad to hear from you. Of course now comes the PT.:rolleyes1
BKMETV Too bad you can't send your weather to us.

I'm back! Thank you for all the warm welcome backs. I don't care what Nancy Reagan said...I love drugs. Do them. Tylenol for Severe Colds is amazing. My ribs no longer hurt from coughing.

Yeah Wendy checked in! Feel better, sweetheart. take your time. We'll be here when you get back.

Oh goodness, Ev! Was going to complain about the terrible wind here but just re-read your post. You all stay safe and warm and enjoy the extra family time while the kids are home.

Good for you and your DD disney54us! I know the nurse thinks she means well, but sadly, children DO get sick sometimes and she should recognize that you're doing what you think is best for your DD's health.

Mmmm...Olive Garden and pie. M&N...I know you look gorgeous with the new cut. Glad to hear friend is ok too. So excited you have an upcoming trip!

Ahh, Sukie, to be so positive as to think that spring will ever return. I have my doubts....will need you to remind me that winter will end sometime....

Racetrack, your siggie made me tear up a bit. I missed you too!

HUNGRY...missed lunch.

I knew seeing my grass in Feb. was too good to last. :headache: Supposed to get a snow storm tonight.
11.gif
Wish we were done with this. I feel your pain Ev.

To make myself feel better, I went to the local garden center and bought some seeds to start growing- in the house. I sooooo have the itch to get outside and start digging in that soil.
7.gif
However, for now, I'll have to settle for some bagged soil and peat pots.

Glad to see that Wendy and Kitty have checked in.

Hi Disney54us, DL55, Sukie, M&N, Ev and Pikester!:wave2:

Hey Guys! :wave2:

I guess I will clam up about it being 70-80 degrees and sunny huh? :beach:

I have been going crazy. A friend of the family passed on Saturday and I have been helping with all that. Funeral was yesterday so now I can check in.

I decided to do a fund raiser for DD's Band. She is in a new academy and the Band doesn't know how to raise money. I am doing a Pampered Chef fund raiser for them---yes, I am crazy.

Magikitty-glad you are home. Hope you had a great time.

Just checking in...left a message to Wendy and will try to locate her.

I have been gone for a while! Can anyone give me an update!
I hope everyone is doing well, and I am glad to see you back kitty!

Good morning! Its bright and sunny here, a complete change from the last two day's weather, which the TV weatherman completely ignored. He's warning this morning about weather tomorrow---THAT has me worried. He didn't feel it worthy to mention the blizzard conditions and four inches of snow yesterday??? Hmm...

Hey there MSP! Nice to see you too! I'm playing catch-up largely myself, all I know is that Wendy has checked in after her surgery, everyone seems to have some sort of sickness, M&N is getting excited for her trip next month, and racing season (and the funny smack talk that goes along with it) has begun.

Still have a nasty cough but am feeling much better overall. Avoiding going outdoors as much as possible. Still avoiding laundry, which seems to be my new forte.

Have a good Saturday everyone!

morningsong.gif

Hey Magikitty! My weather man is calling for a 10-14 inches of snow in my area starting around noon tomorrow. I'll believe it when I see it! The snow we got on Weds/Thurs was suppose to be "good" but we didn't get that much. I think we had more Thurs/Friday from snow showers and squalls that he didn't really predict then the storm we had.

MSP: I haven't been around here too much so I'm not sure what to update you on. Magikitty is back from her trip, Whgrn had surgery and checked in to say she was doing OK. Almost everyone who has been sick is on the mend and those of us who weren't sick now are sick but are slowly getting better. Disney54us checked in, finally, to let us know how she is doing. That is all I can think of off the top of my head. Please everyone, feel free to add anything that I missed.

Have a good day!

:rotfl: Ah yes I hear you, when I'm sick I just want drugs, give me drugs and make it go away!!
Oh this time I not sure how much she meant well, seems she got a bug up her --- more to follow.

Hi Disney54us, DL55, Sukie, M&N, Ev and Pikester!:wave2:

Sorry about your bad weather. Yep seeing that green grass is such a tease. We had a odd day that it was almost 70 about a week or so ago. It made you want to start gardening then poof gone:sad2:.

Hey Guys! :wave2:

Sorry to here about your family's friend passing.
Not crazy, pampered Chef's fund raisers are fun and it will get them started.

Okay I don't know how I messed that up so Hi MSP, glad your back.
MK glad that cough is getting better oh and don't worry about the :laundy:
I read that not doing laundry is a way to treat a cold:rotfl2:
Pikester, you did a very good job at catching MSP up, guess you are assuming Racers Secretary roll while she is under the weather.
Speaking of Racer she must be feeling pretty bad if she hasn't been on. Sending some get well :wizard: magic.

Hey Ladies:

Well it's stopped snowing and the sun was actually shining for a change.

Hey Guys! :wave2:

I guess I will clam up about it being 70-80 degrees and sunny huh? :beach:

Oh sure rub it in!!

Sorry to hear about your relative passing.

Wendy wrote on facebook this morning that she's been up and about with a walker which is good news.:thumbsup2

Have a good weekend all.

Ok, just have a minute, but I wanted to catch up and check in. It's been so unbelievably stressful at work. (We lost an employee to layoffs a few months ago for those that missed that... and we had a really small dept. to begin w/.) Now the workload has seriously increased, and we just can't seem to keep up. We're all kind of treading water. Btw that and the fact that I'm not used to my new schedule yet (now have to be at work by 6:30am) I'm just beat, so I've been crashing asap when the boys go to sleep and all the work is done... which is only like 11:30 anyway... so I haven't been around much. I think I caught up on reading though. Anyway, sorry, I'm doing this quick, so I'm sure I'll miss a bunch of you!

Just stopping in quick to http://www.dachsie.org/vbb/
Hey lighttech, I remember dealing with a blow out once. It was really early in the morning and I heard my oldest in his crib ready to get up. I went in and he was covered with poop! The walls, the crib and the bedding too! I put him right into the tub and cleaned him up. I then called Sukie (remember, she is my Mom in the real world. ) and asked her to come over and watch him so that I could clean everything up. YUCK!

A big [IMG]http://www.dachsie.org/vbb/images/smilies/hello17.gifto anyone I missed!

Hope you are feeling better.

As for the story... :rotfl: Its amazing what their little bodies can do! :scared1: Twice when BL was still pretty new, I put him on the changing table, opened his diaper and pulled up his little legs to wipe his bum and it was like I had created a poop cannon! :lmao: I know this is gross - sorry - but, looking back, you just have to laugh. The mess just shot straight out and hit the wall opposite his bum, plus got on the outside of the laundry bin, all over the floor, and on the curtains! :scared1: I called DH and told him I thought that only happened in movies.

Today would have been my parent's 59th anniv. Dad only lived for 40 of them. I'm meeting mom at Penneys where we both get a hair cut and then off to the bank and lunch. My 87 yr old friend was going but fell in her driveway this am taking out the trash. Her son came and is with her.
.
 Hope you guys had a nice time. I know time has passed, but I'm sure its still tough.

Just doing a quick stop in. My back is feeling a little better but this cold is really kicking my butt. Tell me it will end one of these days.
[.
Feel better! These sicknesses this winter just really su*k.

im here & ok. hard to post lying flat. will try tomorrow!
 You're on the road to recovery! Hope you are doing as well as can be expected (or better, actually!)

Morning all:

March 20th can't get here soon enough...today the highways are all closed and the kids are home from school...which never happens here unless it's really bad. We lost power last night for 5 hours so I missed Survivor and only caught the last half of Grey's.
Bummer. I hate when the power goes out. I wouldn't mind so much, but we're on a well, not public water, so we can't even flush the toilets or take a shower. We used to be out for hours at a time too (or days if it was really bad.) But, they seem to have re-routed some of the lines b/c some new neighborhoods were built, and lately it hasn't been as bad. (knock wood) I hate how over developed our area is getting, but at least that's one good byproduct.

As for the fundraiser. Yes, you are crazy... but so are the rest of us. Admitting it is the first step. Problem is, I don't think there is a "second step." :rotfl:

MK - Welcome back.

Pikester - Thanks for reminding me Sukie is your DM! I was off the boards when she joined us, and I keep forgetting!

Hi Sukie aka Pikester's Mom! (maybe I'll remember now!)

Everybody else, hope all is well, and I'll catch ya' on the flipside... :woohoo:

Hey Ladies:
Well it's stopped snowing and the sun was actually shining for a change

Enjoy it while it lasts. It's snowing pretty good here. Supposed to get up to 8 inches today. The radar they are showing on TV shows this storm moving your way by tomorrow. Just thought I'd share with you.

Pikester - if you're going to get this storm we're having right now, then YES you will get more snow than you did this week. The storm we were supposed to get on Wed. fizzled out before it got here. Just a dusting out of that. This time, not so lucky.

Welcome back Princess!

Bopsmom - Next you're gonna tell us how you're weeding your garden in that 70-80 degree weather. :rolleyes2 Sheesh! Some people.

Hello everyone!!!! I'm getting better slowly.

Magikitty, Really missed you around here. I do have some news for you about your boyfriend David Cook. He's going to be playing here, like 4 blocks from my house, in August. As soon as I saw the announcement, made me think of you.

Disney54us, so nice to see you back and posting regularly. And good for DD's ped telling the school nurse just how it's going to be. Like you wouldn't be the best judge of when she is well enough to go back? It's her last year of high school right? Bet you can't wait.

lighttech, you keep hainging in there. I wish I had some great words of advice for you but I am at a loss. I will tell you, I am totally enjoying the BL stories. They are bringing back some fond, and not so fond, memories of when my kids were babies.

Bopsmom, so sorry about you loss.

Hi Pikester, Sukie, MSP, DL55, D&DDisney, Ev!

Way to whgrn! Glad to hear you are getting up and around.

I am "hanging in." It stinks at the moment, but I am so grateful for having a job and being able to support my family. They announced that there will be no merit increases here this year, and DHs company announced an across the board 10% paycut, so things will be tight, but, we'll adapt. I wish we hadn't been hit, but having to deal w/ that news made me realize how scary and sad it must be for everyone who has had even worse news come their way these days. We'll cut back, and DS may have to deal w/o the occassional visit to his favorite "restaurant" (Chucky Cheese) but we'll be able to put food on the table.
I think having little ones really helps to keep everything in perspective.
 to everybody! I know its tough times all around.

HUNGRY...missed lunch.

:worship:
Hi My sister's princess:wave:
lightech We are on a well also. Learned to keep an water cooler full of water "just in case" :headache:

I guess I better not mention that temps are going to be in the 70s here next week. :rolleyes1

Bopsmom - Next you're gonna tell us how you're weeding your garden in that 70-80 degree weather. :rolleyes2 Sheesh! Some people.

:confused3 I won't be weeding but I have a nice group of men coming next week. I am having a bunch of things taken out and moved around. Adding soil, etc.
We finally got some rain last week and the weeds have overtaken my ability to pull them. We haven't had a good rain since November and are in drought stage.

It is a little cooler today.

Hang in there-spring is coming.

Hope you get caught up and you get into the swing of the new schedule.

Reminds me of when we had to give DD baby suppositories/baby lax(liquid stuff). DH just wouldn't take my word that it was in correctly and needed a 'visual check' she blew the stuff right into his face:lmao:

Bummer. I hate when the power goes out. I wouldn't mind so much, but we're on a well, not public water, so we can't even flush the toilets or take a shower. We are on a well also. The minute the power goes out I start running water for drinking too. We have about 25,000 gallons of toliet flushing water in the backyard just in case.:rotfl:

 So sorry to hear about your friend. Hope everyone is coping alright and... well, actually, I never know what to say. So, I'll leave it at this.
thank you. He was very sick for a long time.

As for the fundraiser. Yes, you are crazy... but so are the rest of us. Admitting it is the first step. Problem is, I don't think there is a "second step." :rotfl:
Yep, crazy if the verdict. I will be posting a link for the fundraising site for you all;) too. :rotfl:

Where is everyone?
Bopsmom Emergency toilet flush water..that's a new selling point for a pool. :rotfl2:

Afternoon!! Cloudy and icky here. But thankfully not freezing. I'm feeling pretty good today. Thank goodness. Now I just have to back into the swing of things.

Not much going on around here. Just waiting for the race to start tonight and see if Kyle sweeps the weekend. He won 2 races yesterday. :cool1:

Afternoon from the snowbelt! There must be a weatherman complain hotline, because one again they were so so wrong! There were concerns about slick conditions and about an inch of accumulation--we bypassed that by 9am! We're well on our way to 4 inches and its not looking like its going to stop anytime soon!

Racetrack, so good to hear that you're feeling better. I was worried about you. You also have a few months to prepare for my visit! My husband David Cook just blocks from you?!?! We must stalk him!

Lighttech, sorry that work is so stressful right now. I hope everyone is able to get into the swing of things and that it lets up. But you have a great outlook on bleak times and that's exactly what will get you through these trying times.

Bopsmom, I'm glad there's someone I know out there enjoying lovely weather. Enjoy a bit for me.

Big hugs and safe tidings for everyone! I'm not prepping for the race this afternoon, but looking forward to being catty and shallow about Oscar dresses tonight. I already have my Hershey Kisses out...its going to be a good night! Especially since I have decided to ignore the shoveling that needs to be done....
