Just stopping by real quick. I've barely recovered from my illness (not feeling poorly, but still run down) and yesterday evening poor DH started throwing up and running a fever. Then, sure enough, DS3 was in our room last night and was running a fever too. But, he's coughing and blowing his nose. Seems like all 3 of us had/have the flu of some sort, but totally diff't symptoms. So much for the flu vaccines we ALL got! But, I took over yesterday, and although DH stayed home from work today (which he never does) he was in bed all day, so no break there. I'm home w/ both boys tomorrow, and from the sounds coming from DSs room the poor kid is not going to be too happy tomorrow, so I definitely need to get to bed. But, I couldn't not at least say hi.
Keeping my fingers crossed BL is o.k. I'm guessing I'll need to take some time off to take care of poor little DS. I don't mind, but I only have 5 hrs of sick time built back up after maternity leave, and DH only gets 3 days all year.

I don't want BL to get sick anyway... but I don't know how we're going to figure out days off. AND ITS ONLY JANUARY!!

We are going to have to be a picture perfect healthy family for the rest of '09
Anyway, I only skimmed, but I think the hair thing is pretty personal. I've started getting mine a little shorter, but I let it grow long in btw if it doesn't drive me crazy so that I can donate to Locks of Love (you have to have 8-10 inches.) My face really shows it when I'm tired, and I'm always tired, and I think that longer hair kind of drags down my face and accents it even more. But, there are a few "older" women at work who have longer hair and look just great. I haven't yet cut my hair short enough that I can't mostly pull it back... I really need to be able to get it out of my face for work.
As for coloring. I started going grey at 25, so a hearty YES! from me. Plus, I'm not a huge fan of my natural color anyway. I used to be platinum blonde when I was little, then it sort of went to a very blah mousy brown. I kept the blonde thing going for a while, but it was too much trouble and too much money. Now, I just get a grey coverage, brunette color w/ a little bit of red (I've got a little red in my hair anyway) at the grocery store and do it myself.
I've never really thought about kids and coloring... one thing I hope I don't have to worry about w/ 2 boys!

But, I think it kind of goes hand in hand w. the clothes thing. Kids should be allowed to be kids w/o all these pressures about looks and style. Although I do remember occasionally coloring my hair w/ KoolAid when I was a little, but that was mostly for fun in the summer or for a school spirit thing or something. And it washes right out.
Well, g'night all!
